Uh, wrong douchebag.

Agnostic Antagonist

Darwin's long and popular tenure in Parliament is solid proof of this.

The theory of creationism was only devised for politico-religious reasons (it's modern believers only believe in it for politico-religious reasons, not because of the scientific evidence).

Makes so much more sense.

But anyway, I'm pretty sure that Asycthian is a Poe. Read this :

It's like watching an entire group of people MST3K themselves over and over.

And those political reasons are...?

Go on, if you're gonna put on the tin foil hat, you better be willing to go all the way.

misshani

Um, no.

Just because you choose to deny evolution for political reasons, doesn't mean the rest of the world is dishonest.

3/1/2010 12:13:29 PM

Doubting Thomas

Really? Political reasons? And you don't think that creationists disbelieve in evolution purely due to religious reasons?

3/1/2010 12:35:59 PM

aaa

It's not like you understand anything about science at all.

What political points would I score for believing in evolution? None.

Science don't need no stinkin' politics.

God was only devised for political reasons. Its modern believers only believe in it out of fear, not because of evidence.

Fixed.

"It's" = It is. Your parenthetical ought to be capitalized or else it's just an odd form of comma splice.

The myth of scientific creationism was only devised for political reasons (it's modern believers only believe in it for mythological reasons, not because of the scientific evidence).

Fixed.

Thank you for telling me what I think and why I think it. I had deceived myself into believing I accepted evolution based on the mountains of evidence for it.

John

He's right. I remember, Charles Darwin was standing for Parliament and he said "Let me publish this evolution nonsense - that'll get me the atheist vote for sure." So then the Labor Party jumped on the band-wagon, and next thing you know, every latte-sipping, Volvo-driving homosexual atheist liberal was running around promoting the theory of evil-lution so's they could encourage abortion and take away our guns!

Mrs. Antichrist

Aside from the wealth of scientific evidence supporting it, of course.

Uh, sorry. People believed in evolution long before Ronald Reagan and Jerry Falwell started using ignorant fundies to gain political power and destroy the country for the benefit of their rich buddies.

Wehpudicabok

Pure, painful ignorance.

There goes the irony meter again. Is there anything which has been used for political purposes more than religion, specifically Christianity?
