Quote# 71466

Science is a Theory. It survives on what it assumes to be a fact. HOWEVER; just like a good story there are different ways to make it to an an ending. what happened to tadpoles? If science in any form cannot come up with a plausible idea they cannot get funding for expeditions,DNA testings.etc. Like all theories there are some factual basis then anything past this is imagination or should I say Darwinisms…….

Wait, you think tadpoles evolve into frogs?!

How about grammar, church lady? Is that a theory too? Hmmmm?

"Science is a Theory. It survives on what it assumes to be a fact."

You have no idea what you are talking about, do you?

"HOWEVER; just like a good story there are different ways to make it to an an ending."

That is a quality of fiction, not science. Again, you have no idea what you're talking about.

"what happened to tadpoles? If science in any form cannot come up with a plausible idea they cannot get funding for expeditions,DNA testings.etc."

Tadpoles growing into frogs is not an example of evolution. You seriously have no idea what you're talking about.

"Like all theories there are some factual basis then anything past this is imagination or should I say Darwinisms……."

Evolution has a factual basis. You would know this IF YOU HAD ANY IDEA WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT!

Coherent sentences for the win.

Tadpoles metamorphosize into frogs. You can actually watch the process yourself if you catch some tadpoles and take care of them in an aquarium (just remember to release the frogs back into the wild).

Scientific theories require evidence; otherwise they're just hypotheses.

Each tadpole becomes a frog. Then each frog is kissed by a beautiful princess and turns into a handsome prince. What are you, stupid?

I'm pretty sure this is the output of a Markov chain. The words are strung together in a way where certain subsets of them make sense, but on a larger scale, they say nothing. I know there are some people who write that incomprehensibly, but not that many.

"Science is a theory"
No....science is science. It uses fact to formulate theories, which, from the tense of your statement, is quite different than the definition of "theory" that is used in the vernacular.
"what happened to tadpoles?"
Good question. What indeed happened to them? Or more to the point, what exactly is your question about tadpoles, and what is the relevance? Perhaps you should see Old Viking's explaination of tadpoles, it is the best theory I have seen yet! HA.
@ old viking,,,, that was a good response.

What the hell?

Doctor Whom

What happened to tadpoles? You left the lid off of the aquarium, and when the metamorphosed into frogs, they jumped out.

My personal theory is that creationists are retarded. The evidence bears me out more often than not.
By the way, did you ever take biology in grade school? What tadpoles go through to become frogs is called metamorphosis. It is well documented, just like evolution.

They were delicious.

Um. What DID happen to tadpoles? Did I miss something?

"Science is a Theory."

I'm pretty sure that's not accurate. How come you people can't open a fucking dictionary and learn what the word theory means?

"It survives on what it assumes to be a fact."

Facts in science are assumed to be true for a very good reason.

"HOWEVER; just like a good story there are different ways to make it to an an ending."

Now what the hell are you talking about?

"what happened to tadpoles?"

Tadpoles become frogs. So far as I know, tadpoles still exist so I don't believe anything happened to them as a whole.

Again, what the hell are you talking about?

"If science in any form cannot come up with a plausible idea they cannot get funding for expeditions,DNA testings.etc."

So, you think if you sit around in a lab doodling on the whiteboard until you come up with something that sounds passably "plausible" someone is going to cut you a check for a few million dollars so you can sit around some more thinking up another idea so you can get paid again?

That is what you think science is? Seriously?

"Like all theories there are some factual basis then anything past this is imagination or should I say Darwinisms……."

Make sense damn you!

"Science is a Theory."

And that my friend is the reason why you fail at life when you make retarded statements like that.

Science is a Theory.

No, science is a methodology.

It survives on what it assumes to be a fact.

Science makes very few assumptions and those are on the order of "the universe exists", "we exist", and "we can know things". Aside from that, it's built on observations and previous knowledge.

HOWEVER; just like a good story there are different ways to make it to an an ending.

No, there's only one way to do science and that's by using the scientific method. Just because creationists start with their conclusion and work backwards doesn't that mean science does it that way.

what happened to tadpoles?

Where did this random change of topic come from? But to answer: tadpoles usually die, get eaten, or metamorphose into frogs.

If science in any form cannot come up with a plausible idea they cannot get funding

Right, and for good reason. We don't want our tax dollars going into Bigfoot hunts or UFO camping trips. If we had unlimited resources and manpower, I'd say "sure, research everything including the extremely unlikely", but alas, we don't have that so I'd rather put funding into projects that are likely to expand our knowledge and/or give us practical applications.

Like all theories there are some factual basis then anything past this is imagination or should I say Darwinisms

Didn't this guy have to make a poster of the Life Cycle of the Frog in third grade like everyone else? If so, he should know what happened to the tadpole.

Nothing MAJOR has happened to tadpoles, like in general, has it?

Waaaaaiiiit.....

If I read that correctly, you don't understand that tadpoles become frogs? o_O

The human fetus is rather like a tadpole, around the time when most abortions occur.

The thing scientists "assume to be a fact", that's something they can observe themselves in labs, over and over and over again, with the same result every time. That is what a fact is.
That's why God is not a fact; he has never visited the labs, nor given any holy DNA for the scientists to test.
