This article was posted today on yahoo regarding the extiction of the dinosaurs. There has been over 8000 replies so far to this article and its amazing how so many people were bashing the Christians who were replying on there regading their opinion about the great flood as the possible reason and the earth being 6000 years old. I can't believe there are so many people in this Country who are against the Bilble in a so called "Christian Nation" I guess we are living in the end times. One of the comments I read was stating that if the Dinosaurs died in the great flood then why weren't they included on the Ark since God commanded Noah to take all animals and he obeyed God. It's hard to baddle these people because they want scientific data and they can't understand the concept of Faith.

I'm not against the Bible, any more than I'm against any other religious text.

What I'm against is a bunch of idiots claiming the Bible says things it does not mention at all (e.g., the 6000 years thing), and using this faulty information as the basis for their entire worldview. Genesis is a compilation of Hebrew folklore that was passed down orally for generations--most likely undergoing a lot of changes along the way--before finally being collected and written down in the form we see today. There is clear evidence of this: for example, not only do Gen 1 and Gen 2 have dramatically difference structures, the former always refers to God as "Elohim" (generic word for deity) while the latter always refers to god as "YHWH Adonai" (Lord YHWH).

And no, none of what I said makes me anti-Christian. I could care less what you believe, as long as you don't use religion to justify hatred, smugness, or laziness.

The operative phrase is "so called." It's never been a Christian nation but has been called as such by Christians.

Baddle? Oh you must mean "battle." Yeah, it's really hard to convince people who need facts to believe something instead of just believing it because others do. You ever think there might be some reason that theists always rely on faith instead of facts? You might want to mull it over for a while.

Noooo you cant understand the concept of science or rational thinking. Apparently God is smarter and more rational than you are... you make him out to be such a weak flawed embecile with crappy arguements like this. We all know and have seen proof the earth is OLDER than just 6000 years... and have seen PROOF that meteors once struck the earth and could have potentially wiped out most if not all of the dinosaurs at some point in time... but we have not seen PROOF of a flood. And if your logic and reasoning is to be perfectly sound... than neither have you seen this flood proof because the true definition of faith is BELIEF WITHOUT PROOF. Therefore you fail in saying I cannot grasp the concept of faith... it is YOU little man that has the lack of grasping the concept of deductive reasoning logic and intelligent sound thinking.

Info I read about the "Wedge Strategy" from Wiki...

"The wedge strategy was designed with both five-year and twenty-year goals in mind in order to achieve the conversion of the mainstream. MY GOD.... its gonna be the crusades all over again. If these people succeed... anyone who doesnt conform to their ideas about God and science and ID.... I swear they are going to start burning and drowning and killing the "non believers" all over again... O.O
