Here's a great example of what the bible really says:

Honestly the whole "repentance and feeling guilty will lead you to act better," deal seems more reasonable than the whole "REPENT AND TURN FROM YOUR EVIL WAYS!!!" thing.

But frankly, I enjoy a good Bible fight. Not the kind where it's two people yelling scripture at each other out of context; the kind where you throw Bibles at each other. I have a soft, padded one for such occassions.

And considering these fundies will never, ever, think to ask themselves that first question, that would make God the true "Master Deceiver", wouldn't it?
There is a hint of truth to this, in as much as Ray Comfort is indeed a deceptive tool. However, the rest is the result of roiling insanity, possibly it's the type of madness that runs in families.
David J. Stewart is usually, according to his own yardstick, the purveyor of the worst lies of all, the sort of lies that are not in the least believable, the sort of lies that so obviously sound the least like the truth. Although, I must admit, Ray Comfort is as adept a liar as David J. Stewart.
David, when you say that we've not long to go before the Rapture, is that not long as in never or not long as in the comparitively short time of a billion years? Or, wonderment and glorious shock-horror, do you mean within your own lifetime?
If that's the case, then someone needs to show me proof and evidence of God's existence pretty damn quickly. Can anyone show me where to get the proof and evidence? Can you David, perhaps?
Wow, I never thought I'd ever see the day where I agree with David J. Stewart. Well, except about all the Satan stuff, but he's spot on about Ray Comfort.
In fact, I would say that Ray is just one of all Christians who twist the bible to make it say what they want it to say, including David J. Stewart. I haven't yet seen a Christian who admits the bible is full of false stuff, like conflicting creation stories, a flat earth, etc.

30,000+ christian cults are pretty good evidence the whole shit is made up. Each of these cults have their own god and jesus in line with their own hatred and prejudices. The bible is a buffet for cults, you can find any form of hatred known to man in it and as such, it's perfect for the evolution and growth of cults.

Why do you need some guy to tell you what the bible says? Can't you read? Plus if the outcome of this end-of-days holy war of yours is decided already then if you know about it, then surely satan must know too. My question is: given that he knows he will lose, why does he still bother trying?

I'm a Christian, and I admit the Bible is full of false stuff.
I love the fact that Stewart hates all the other evangelical public figures. He has pretty much the same attitude about Jack Chick and Pat Robertson. His definition of "the Church" seems to be "me and the five other people on earth who agree with me about every single detail of Christian doctrine, no matter how tiny". I tell you, we're not even gonna notice the Rapture at this rate.
