Studies show that they're not. You simply? don't like them because they dare to air conservative viewpoints on the same level as liberal ones, unlike the rest of the media.

A quick google search shows some of these "studies" that bonchbonch claims exist. Of course, they're all conducted by well known conservative organizations and by Rasmussen, so it's not really a shocker that Faux News always comes out on top in all these polls and studies.
Studies show that they're not.
Which studies? Are they unbiased? Proof is required.
You simply? don't like them because they dare to air conservative viewpoints on the same level as liberal ones, unlike the rest of the media.
No, I don't like them because they:
1) Always choose a soft Democrat vs a hard Republican, look at Alan Colmes and Sean Hannity
2) Choose to give time to climate change deniers (and evolution deniers) without telling their audience that the vast majority of scientists disagree with the "experts" they bring on
3)Called the Iraq War protesters unpatriotic, while now saying that the Tea Partyers are good people.
Etc.
Studies show that they're not.
Yeah, I can say "studies show X" all day to support any point, for example: "studies show that the Moon is made of green cheese". Isn't it nice when you don't have to back up your assertions with citations?

To be fair, all of the major news networks suck. They've become way too editorialized and tabloid-like and feature more opinion than news. Of course, Fox is one of the main reasons why it's like that. Other news stations saw that it brings high ratings and as such more money and they started to copy it. Of course, none of them are anywhere near as blatantly biased and lowbrow as Fox News and you'd have to be either incredibly stupid or have your nose so far up their ass you can smell stomach acid to not notice this. Just compare their coverage of Bush to their coverage of Obama.
I would LOVE to see a decent conservative news outfit. You know, something like the Wall Street Journal before it fell to Rupert Murdoch.
But no, you don't want news, you want affirmation. I don't care if it's conservative or liberal, I want nothing to do with slanted takes. I just want the news. Just give me the actual story.
I know that all news outlets have a bias, but as someone from outside the US, Fox News is a ham-fisted joke of a news channel. It's super right-wing and it's given platform to commentators like Hannity, Coulter and Beck to name a few, people who if they came out with that crap in Europe would be either ridiculed off the air, vilified by the public at large or jailed for inciting hatred. Seriously, fuck Fox News, anyone who thinks that's "fair and balanced" is a mentally backwards as a lot of the fundie fucktards quoted on here.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't selecting a view point a form of bias?
@ Rumpleforeskin:
As someone who also isn't from America, I totally agree....Though I must also point out that CNN didn't always seem very good either.
So, studies, which you don't bother to name, say one thing, and your second statement, contradicts the previous one. Solution?
Studies show that they're not.
CITATION NEEDED
Name these "studies" provide links, or you are full of what conservatives tend to be full of.
Give 'em a month anf they'll be claiming it says Fox News is "fair and balanced" in the bible.
When FN does bother to interview people from "both sides", usually one gets grilled and the other gets soft balls. Guess which one is the "liberal"?
@Fedup: "What is the significance of the question mark after the word "simply"?"
It seems to be an artifact caused by copy/pasting from a YouTube comment.
"I think it means you are RETARDED Am I right?"
Technically, yes.
Studies show that they're not
[CITATION FUCKING NEEDED]
Or to put it in terms you may be able to understand: What study?
You simply? don't like them because they dare to air conservative viewpoints on the same level as liberal ones, unlike the rest of the media.
What's with the question mark in the middle of the sentence? Is this something that's taught in homeschooling books that isn't taught in any other educational institution? WFT?
Also, I don't like fox news. They're nuts. Or'reilly: moron. Glenn Beck: idiot, moron, conspiracy theorist, crazy, and in need of medication. It's rather worrying that so many people take them seriously.
It's not that they air conservative(Republican, Teaparty) viewpoints, it's that they promote them, never question them and attack conflicting viewpoints.
Fox also is the only network that makes up a story, gets caught lieing and continues to tell the story despite it being proved wrong. This is not only rare of before the last decade but usually got someone fired anywhere else.
What worries me is CNN seems to want to also quit journalism and just make up right-wing shit now.

Studies show that they're not."
They did a study on news bias? Something tells me that no TV station would air it. Sounds like you're speaking out of your ass.
Making a claim that studies prove his point without actually citing those studies.
What, is he applying for a job at Fox News?
All news is biased to a certain political slant. Since you have a politically conservative viewpoint, Fox News would seem "balanced" to you because they lean conservative.
Oh, and what "studies" are you talking about? Do you realize that virtually any "study" in favor of and against something could be found? The key is was this study done properly without an agenda?
Studies = A few conversations I had with fellow Republican Christian Fox News viewers.
Faux News. We distort, you comply.
Sooo, they are NOT biased, they are just being as conservative as the liberal biased media are liberal?
Can you not hear yourself, how stupid that sounds?
Btw, which stuides?
This just in, Fox news has done a study and come to the conclusion that Fox news is the only source for the truth... further more, the study concludes that those who do not watch Fox news are baby raping traitors of America.
Studies done by who? The viewers? Ddi they just ask them if they incorporated a slant on their news? You can't justblurt somethign like that and not expect someone to call you on it. And no, we dislike them because any issue they bring up, they show blatant favor to the conservative side. Any time they opt for a "debate," they skew it so far, it's laughable...they might as well bring on a High School student.
I'm not aware of bias studies, but a couple of years ago there was a study showing that those who get all/most of their "news" from Fox were the least informed.
Oh, and it also showed that viewers of the Daily Show knew more about current events than Fox viewers.
You simply don't like them because they dare to air conservative viewpoints on the same level as liberal ones, unlike the rest of the media.
Damn, he figured us out, guys!
Here's a study for you:
Look up just about anything anyone on Fox News says about something that's happened in government on any given day.
You'll find they deliberately mispreported the facts.
That's not a "viewpoint". That's just LYING.
What studies, dipshit? Co-authored by Rupert Murdoch?
The only viewpoints Fox Noise airs are those that agree with Rupert 'The Fucktard' Murdoch. There is no balance with Fox Noise, as evidenced by:
Bill O'Lielly (especially)
Glenn Beck
"[Fox News is biased] Studies show that they're not."
Let me guess, you and several of your conservatard friends "studied" half an hour of Fox News footage and came to the conclusion that the fifteen minutes spent berating some liberal followed by another fifteen brown-nosing some neo-con were fair because both got the same amount of air time, and that the roast was adequately balanced by the blatant toadying.
Studies done jointly by Fox News and the Heritage Foundation.
That is EXACTLY like the bible being true because the bible says it's true.
Here is the thing, no matter what Obama does, Fox news will always be critical of it. He says drill for oil, they say you aren't drilling enough. There is no objectivity. At all.
Confused?
