Randy Ross "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." ~ 1Ti 2:12

I am shocked at how many so-called fundamentalists do not realize this even applies to YOUNG MEN, as in anyone over the age of 13. Yes, that means that women should not be teaching teen-guys.

So, your excuse for being an ignorant jack*ss is that you didn't allow women to teach you anything?

You'd be surprised. I'm sure my mother could teach all the 13-18 boys I know that aren't my relatives a thing or two.

Why not my relatives? She's already taught them.

I disagree. The best time for a guy to learn how to give a clitoris a tongue bath is during his teens. This is an incredibly important life lesson best learned early on!

So not a Poe.

I had the unfortunate experience of teaching at a private "christian" school for several years where a number of fathers (the mothers didn't actually speak, they just sat and smiled) regularly protested that there should not be women teachers for grades above 7th or perhaps 8th. Many of them would tell their sons, especially those in high school, that they did not have to listen to or accept any discipline from a female teacher.

Don't like it? Teach your damn kids yourself. The rest of us have realized that women can be just as good at teaching as men and that women are much more likely to become teachers in the first place (what with there being a stigma against men who just like working with children and want to be teachers).

Also, I thought Jesus was the authority in the NT and Paul was just a disciple? As in, the same disciple who discouraged children from talking to Jesus, frowned on the sort of people that Jesus wanted to help, etc.

Because we all know that 13 year old boys have their heads on straight. Hell, at that point they aren't even thinking with the big head.

Leave it to a fundamentalist to latch onto anything that sexually dysfunctional, dickless woman-hater, Paul tells them about women.

Paul goes on to say "For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

But here's what Genesis says: "she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Where does it say Adam was not deceived or Eve pushed the fruit on him over his objections? Paul did the same thing fundies do today: he came up with his warped opinions first, then cherry-picked or misinterpreted clear scripture to make it sound like God agreed with him.

You're stupid! Some of the most cleverest and intelligent people I have met are women. Do not ignore people just because they happen to have a vagina.
Aren't you people often saying that boys can't control themselves, that their nether head is making the toughest decisions for them? Is that really the people we want in control of the world?

I think that most men are very much able to control themselves, that they are just as able as most women to control this world.
We need to do it TOGETHER! Every intelligent, compassionate, empathic person is very much needed!!! OK?

Maybe if you'd listened to some women while growing up, you wouldn't be such a bigoted, ignorant, misogynistic prick.

Does that apply to mothers who try to help their 13+ year-old sons with homework? Does that qualify as "teaching?" Because let me tell you, if my mother hadn't spent all those hours helping my brother with his homework, he would have flunked out of school.
