Why don't you try actually reading the bill sometime?
3/30/2010 3:55:03 AM
Anything posted on rapture ready gets a WTF from me. As LDM said, read the bill.
3/30/2010 4:02:33 AM
You just described the insurance companies.
Congress has been getting better health care than the rest of us for a long time. They have a single payer system, which you pay for and which they claim is bad for the rest of us.
3/30/2010 4:03:08 AM
For the last time you tossers:
YOU CAN STILL HAVE PRIVATE MEDICAL CARE!
If you can't afford it, and you do end up denied free treatment then how is that any different to how it works now?
3/30/2010 4:07:42 AM
Mr. Mann parrots long disproven crap, part 12+10874891765087059823.

3/30/2010 4:24:13 AM
From what I understand, those people were often being denied health care already, and the new bill was designed to actually take care of that problem (among others).
Anyway, I'm glad to see the USA join the rest of the First World in matters concerning health (even if it's still a long way).
3/30/2010 4:35:20 AM
Because anything even vaguely resembling a nationwide version of the Congressional health plan (which you probably couldn't even come close to describing), it would have been immediately decried as socialism by blithering idiots like yourself.
3/30/2010 4:47:31 AM
> If this health care bill is so great, why did congress exempt themselves from it?
Because half of your politicians are self-serving hypocritical crooks, of course. Just not the ones you think you're targetting: http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck/491
3/30/2010 4:56:51 AM
"How dare you take away my right to watch the poor die in the gutter???!?!?!?"
3/30/2010 4:58:57 AM
Also Voldemort will be in charge of health care.
3/30/2010 5:11:21 AM
Lying is a sin you know.
3/30/2010 5:17:17 AM
If you are elderly you will be denied care.
Isn't that pretty much what happens already, unless you are rich?
Oh and every five years during your retirement, you will be asked to commit suicide.
That, sir, is a fail. Beware.
It will be the same if you know someone who is mentally handicapped, they will be denied care...they don't contribute to society, so they are too expensive to spend scarce health care dollars on.
If you have an expensive condition, like cancer...you will die. There may be life saving procedures available, but you won't get them. Its cheaper for you to die.
Again, how is this different from the present state of affairs?
The bottom line is this: If this health care bill is so great, why did congress exempt themselves from it?
Because they are already covered by this type of deal?
3/30/2010 5:36:03 AM
This is why I hate those Tea Bagger retards. They don't even bother to learn the actual facts surrounding issues they oppose. They just repeat the same bullshit they heard some fucktard like Limbaugh or Beck or Hannity spew.
Fucking morons all of them.
3/30/2010 6:07:13 AM
First off, citation needed.
Secondly, people like the mentally handicapped are actually going to get more help from health care reform you moron.
3/30/2010 6:08:55 AM
Slippery slope. I really don't see how this is any different (other than the ridiculous suicide claim) from the way insurance companies already operate.
3/30/2010 6:14:06 AM
You forgot how the goverment should keep it's hands off (goverment created, supported) Medicare, Medicade and Veteran benefits
There's a reason most teapartiers are on one of these, there's no reason they don't understand it except stupidity or bigotry. Why on Earth are you listening to the last administrations lies still?
They ruined your economy, lied about it, were (and still are) after your Social Security, Medicare, Medicade and Veteran Benefits (the last administration wanted to privatize (give to big business) social security, reduce Medicade support and reduce payment to the Veterans Administration (W actually did the last one, way to support your troops)
It almost has to be Fox News causing this complete misunderstanding of what REALLY has happened and what will. The truth is plain with little research effort
3/30/2010 6:46:46 AM
"If you are elderly you will be denied care. They won't say denial, it will be called a "waiting list." A needed life saving surgery will be put on a five year waiting list. Sure you will die if you don't get the operation in 6 months, but thems the breaks."
Even if this were true, what's the difference to what they do now? Either they deny it outright or they make you wait so long you die off and they don't have to pay. I don't really see a difference.
"Oh and every five years during your retirement, you will be asked to commit suicide. I'm expecting forged signatures will be commonplace."
Is Faux News still pushing this bullshit? That's the only way I can see that people still believe this.
"It will be the same if you know someone who is mentally handicapped, they will be denied care...they don't contribute to society, so they are too expensive to spend scarce health care dollars on."
I truly cannot comprehend where the hell you people get these bizarre ideas.
"If you have an expensive condition, like cancer...you will die."
Just like now. What a surprise.
"There may be life saving procedures available, but you won't get them. Its cheaper for you to die."
Again, just like now.
"The bottom line is this: If this health care bill is so great, why did congress exempt themselves from it? Yes they and their families will get better care than you will."
Just like now.
3/30/2010 7:05:59 AM
Wonder what the weather's like on his planet?
3/30/2010 7:06:38 AM
"If you are elderly you will be denied care"
Speaking as an FSTDT commenter from the UK, and as we have the National Health Service (which we've had since the late 1940s), I've got just one word to say to you Mr.(Wo)Mannn, about the Repubicans' - and your - attitudes to the concept of Universal Healthcare (which has been voted in, so all your paranoid bluster availed you naught):
My mother was given priority when she needed her hip operation a few years ago: no more than a week did she need to wait. She was 73 at the time.
"You forgot how the goverment should keep it's hands off (goverment created, supported) Medicare, Medicade and Veteran benefits"
The Antichrist Maggie Thatcher (*spit*) known as 'Reagan's Poodle', the most rabidly right wing leader (and PM) of the Conservative Party (and the prime reason why I have more than infinite hatred of anything - and anyone - right-wing), didn't dare touch the NHS.
It (as well as our Welfare State) was created by a Conservative after all.*
Even to this day, for a Conservative government to screw with the NHS is guaranteed political (and thus electoral) suicide.
*- Wrap that one round your tiny right-wing minds, Ruptured Retards.
3/30/2010 7:12:28 AM
And this is why I want to extend a hearty "fuck you" to all of the pundits like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh who spread lies in the name of ratings. You shitbags only care about the money you'll get and don't care if that involves the poor dying or if your constant polarization and demonization of people leads to death, destruction, or even civil war. You just don't care. You get as much money as you can and if something bad happens to the country you'll be the first to jump ship like the rats you are. Meanwhile, your loyal fans will continue to fight (some possibly with violence) against something that would actually benefit them all because you scared the crap out of them. Again, fuck you, and I hope you jackasses die because you went broke treating some disease and as such you couldn't afford your insurance anymore. That would be poetic justice.
3/30/2010 7:25:29 AM
Lying for the Lord, lying for the Lord, we shall come rejoicing, lying for the Lord.
3/30/2010 7:29:02 AM
Comments like this make me hope that heaven is a real place, if only so people like mrmann have to try and explain to jesus why they lack compassion and why they felt the need to lie.
3/30/2010 7:34:17 AM
It (as well as our Welfare State) was created by a Conservative after all.*
Eh? It was created by Nye Bevan, definitely not a Conservative, and first outlined by Beveridge, who was a Liberal.
3/30/2010 7:48:27 AM
Having spent my entire life living in a country that has public health care (Canada), I find these speculations unbelievably hilarious.
