Funny. Ironically, while I, in the UK, aren't allowed to own a gun, the fact is, we don't need to. Not counting our armed forces, every police force in the UK has armed response squads; and then there's the little matter of the fact that all the British Transport Police officers at every one of our airports are armed with Glock 17s and a few years ago, their H&K MP5s were replaced with Steyr AUGs. You come anywhere near our airport check-in metal detectors bringing a gun into our country, and you'll be able to see said Steyr AUGs for yourself. Looking down the business ends of such.
