I'm going to rot...
Dude.
There is no such place as heaven. It is all made up.
Ignorance is nothing to be proud of...

Dude, there's a reason I never turned back.
It wasn't brainwashing. Think about that.

If your God didn't want us to learn then what was the point of giving us the intellectual capacity to do so?

Personally, I'd prefer the school that taught me to think well and critically. This is why I know your hell or heaven doesn't exist.

'For me it is better to be "ignorant" and go to heaven'
Then I hope you get to 'heaven' sooner rather than later because I don't want to be supporting your useless fundy ass when you can't find work. And actually, hell might not be so bad if it doesn't include all the other brainelss fundies. Oh wait, it's the fundies who ARE making life hell...that's why they're REALLY the ones headed there!

Well, you aren't going to heaven and we aren't going to hell, so you're just ignorant.

Isn't faith supposed to be stronger by testing it constantly? These people seem SO afraid of even the slightest little piece of test, their faith must be paper-thin and almost transparent.
Schools don't make you believe, they teach you the facts. Afterwards you can go back to believing whatever you want.
I was taught within a socialistic curriculum, and I still had class-mates who were, and still are, Christian. I have friends who managed to stay Jewish and Muslim through school too.

Typical! Me, me, me! It's not just you, it would be better for the rest of us too if you were to remain your usual ignorant self and go off to heaven, (or wherever, as long as it's far from Earth), than to waste time and resources by clogging up a valid educational establishment with your stupidity.

Actually, this one is quite sad.
They do see people who get proper educations* who turn away from Christianity, so know it's a real possibility. But they think that it's because those leaving Xianity were brainwashed by the education rather than being freed from the brainwashing that was already in place.
And of course, when you're THIS side of the Xianity fence, then you're convinced that leaving Xianity will send you to hell, it's a very real concern.
And given those premises, then there IS a certian logic in eschewing the source of the risk, i.e. education.
* As a secular home-schooler, I include quality home-education in that.

For those of us living in the rational world, it's better to make the most of your life than to hold yourself back on the off chance that heaven and hell really do exist.

Yes, it's better for me if you do that too! So you contiue becoming dumber and dumber and we'll continue to make the world more and more reliant on very complex technology, deal?
