Does one need to be delivered from being black? Or being homosexual?
While gays have not been enslaved, they do have a history of Jim Crow-like discrimination, beatings and lynchings. And, while they have not benn LEGALLY defined as 2/3 of a person, they have been treated that way.

Gays are not more oppressed simply because they don't carry obvious visible signs of what they are.
Except for you ignorant assholes, who will harass any boy perceived as "delicate" or any girl perceived as "masculine", regardless of actual sexual orientation.

The persecuition of homosexuals, and their judicial murder goes back much longer than the kidnapping of Africans and their delivery into slavery. In fact, in America it still continues. Remember Matthew Sheppard? Not all that long ago either!
And as to being 'delivered' from being homosexual, you are a bare-faced liar. And those who claim to have been 'delivered' are either lying too (perhaps under great pressure) or else are bisexual.
So come down off your high and mighty pulpit, so-called bishop, and apologise to your Jesus for calling him and his god to witness your lies.

"Homosexuals have no history of slavery, Jim Crow, lynching or being legally defined as 2/3 of a person."
No, but they do have a history of being burned at the stake; gassed along with the other, predominantly Jewish, victims of the Holocaust; treated as subhuman, in general; and being systematically barred from various militaries around the world.
Most people are actually beginning to realize that this is cruel and stupid, and are treating gay people as, you know--PEOPLE.

Ever heard of skin bleach? You know what skin bleach and "ex-homosexuals" have in common? They're both just a facade.

I have known people who have been delivered from homosexuality.
Bullshit.
You have known people who have willfully repressed the free expression of their true sexuality. Homosexuality isn't a disease and doesn't need a cure.
Religious fundamentalism on the other hand...

Homosexuals have no history of slavery, Jim Crow, lynching or being legally defined as 2/3 of a person.
So that justifies discrimination against homosexuals? Also, I reject your position that homosexuals have never been the target of "lynchings". If the deaths of the following people were not lynchings then what are they?
Matthew Shepard, beaten and tortured to death.
Julio Rivera, beaten with a hammer and then stabbed to death.
Scotty Joe Weaver, beaten, strangled and stabbed numerous times, partially decapitated, and set on fire.
... And that's just 3 examples out of hundreds, if not thousands of cases..
I have known people who have been delivered from homosexuality.
So you can attest with certainty that those people never again felt attraction to, or desire for, a member of the same gender? If your answer is anything but "No" then you are a damnned liar.
I have never known anyone to be delivered from being black.
My point exactly. You can no more "Pray the Gay Away" than you can "Pray the Black Away".
Democrat Party's commitment to abortion, homosexuality, and moral relativism
Since when do christian have a problem with moral relativism? Fuck knows you engage in it often enough.
is an affront to the values of the black Christian community.
So why do so many black christians belong to, or vote for, the Democratic party? And what makes you think that you speak for the entire black christian community?
It is a 'Coalition of the godless
How is it a "Coalition of the Godless". when the vast and overwhelming majority of party members are christians?
Black Christians do not belong in a 'coalition of the godless,' and should not vote for those who are.
I guess there is no problem then, because it's awfully hard to belong to, or vote for, a coalition that does not exists outside of your imagination.

No, they should vote for the Republican fucks that would like nothing better than to bring back midnight lynchings and segregation.
The Zeitgeist either moves forward or it moves backwards. It never stays still. Do you fucking remember what it was like in the south in the 1950s and 1960s?
Are you looking to bring those days back? Because this time around, when those good ol' boys come looking for you with a rope, don't expect any help from me. I fought the first time around and if you throw away what was won, you're on your fucking own.

in Europe the Xian countries used to burn "sodomites" at the stake until round about the middle of the last millenium - thereafter they hanged them.
So truly no history of slavery, Jim Crow, lynching or being legally defined as 2/3 of a person, but a lot of DEAD

christians being asked to toss out their beliefs and their duty to influence their governments...yeah supressing religion to promote others beliefs is NOT tolerance. Not to mention trying to elimnate the word God every where in public including private institutions, to not offend the minority of atheists in the US
About 80 percent of the Democratic Party are Christians. Why would they "persecute" themselves?
Christians are free to abstain from doing things that break their moral code. They aren't free to force everyone else to conform to their rules.
Hey, I'm Swedish and I still know more about your constitution than you do. The GOVERNMENT (including public schools) can't promote one religion or the other. INDIVIDUALS can adhere to any religion or philosophy they want, as long as they don't infringe on other people's rights.
The Word of God was not put "every where" until the fifties.
we mean the kind of moral ity that whatever you believe is right; that there is no such thing as anything that is always wrong. I.e. you feel its right to beat children...if you believe it is right that no one can say its wrong...THAT kind of moral relativism.
Breaking the law is always wrong. Breaking the UN and the Geneva Conventions is always wrong, too. Hurting other people is always wrong.
God seems to be the one who has moral relativism. First he says "you shall not kill" and then he says that people who are unfaithful should die, and homosexual people, and people who mix potions, and... etc in absurdum.
With human rights comes responsibilities; if you want to enjoy your human rights, you have to make sure that other humans can enjoy their human rights as well.
Like the old saying "I oppose everything you say, but I'm willing to fight for your right to express yourself freely". Or something like that.

I don't understand why you can't understand that we just don't want you putting your religion into our government like you CONSISTANTLY try to do. And I guarantee you, I'd be just as mad if any other religion tried to do it. But unlike you, they seem to grasp the First Amendment.
