Quote# 7315

I do think the actions of those few soldiers has been roundly condemned, here and elsewhere, though... To sit back and do nothing in a time of war against evil nations with evil intentions is to be complicit with what those evil nations are doing... You really have to look at all the facts. I don't mean this sarcastically, but a group hug just doesn't cut it sometimes.

"a group hug just doesn't cut it sometimes"

That's when you demonize your enemies to make it seem less evil to kill them.

Every nation thinks it is the good one and the enemy is the evil one, stupid.

To do nothing is merely to do nothing. You have to aid and abet the "evil" nation in order to be complicit with its actions.

Haven't a few of the governments of the US supplied the Talibans and the Al Quaeda, among others, with weapons and ammunition in the past? While they where fighting the enemy of the US at the time. That is worse than doing nothing, dearie, and it shows that the enemy of your enemy might be your enemy as well.
