[Re. the Islamic community center being built a few blocks from Ground Zero.]

Part of me wants to just throw my hands up in the air and cause everything seems so hopeless. PC running amuck will assure this mosque is built and our leaders will let it happen, regardless of how many like me and all you who have posted your disgust over such a thing, feel.

However, (and here's the best part!). No matter how things seem or how they are, there is no power on earth that can overpower our God! I keep reminding myself that God will not allow this to happen. In His perfect timing and in His perfect way, He will prevent this mosque from being built, if for no other reason, because of the *real* reason this mosque is planned to be built there.

So first you say it will get built and then you say God will stop it. Which is it?

"...regardless of how many like me and all you [...] feel."

That would be because you're not as important as you think.

"...In His perfect timing and in His perfect way, He will prevent this mosque from being built ..."

Yep. Just like He prevented 9-11 from happening in the first place.

P.S. I knew this was from the Ruptured Retard site as soon as I saw the whirling smiley (looks and acts just like a rapturist).

Translation:
I don't want the mosque being built there, but it's going to be built there anyway, so I'll just rationalize it away by saying "Goddidit".

Just because what, a couple 100 people max, are bigots doesn't mean that the governments suddenly going to tell them not to build it.

And I'm going to laugh when the have the ribbon cutting ceremony or whatever for this mosques that supposedly isn't going to be build.

Also, nice last minute "All Muslims are terrorists" reference jackass.

So when the mosque goes up as planned, you will then publicly admit that your wretched sky fairy is imaginary, won't you? We'll be waiting for the announcement.

So when, for example, the mosque closes in a few years time due to a string of death threats, vandalism, and arson attacks from nutjob christians, you'll claim this as a victory for your god?

That emoticon is awesome. I sat there watching it for a full minute before I even read the post.

So if God doesn't do something, then what does that mean to you?

PC running amuck

That's what you get for still using Vista. Use Windows 7, your computer will thank you.

our leaders will let it happen, regardless of how many like me and all you who have posted your disgust over such a thing, feel.

Democracy isn't mob rule and in any good democracy the rights of the minority get protected from the whims of the majority. You may hate it now but when Christianity becomes a minority (due to people getting fed up with all of the bullshit), you'll be glad that protection was built in. As with all things, people don't appreciate it until either they really need it or it's gone.

there is no power on earth that can overpower our God

Iron chariots.

Okay, and what will you say if it gets built and stays there? Are you going to tell god that he dropped the ball? Call him a "damn Muslim-loving liberal"?

People like this only care about New York in relation to 9/11. Otherwise NYC is nothing but a hotbed of liberals, jews and immigrants.

Go ahead, no one would care.

Mark David Chapman has brown hair, and yet they allow persons with brown hair to live near and even in the building in front of which John Lennon was murdered. Egad!

A few months later, the mosque is finished. And nobody cares about the matter anymore except for some group who plans to firebomb the place.

Trick question. Freedom of religion doesn't exist for fundies and they'd complain no matter where the mosque was being built.

He's going to stop it from being built because they intend to use it to worship him?
