Quote# 7448

Stop justifying your way of clothing yourself to the beach with today's sports, culture, location and blah, blah, blah. Again and again God does not make exceptions and the word of God does not contradicts it self. We all can see how guilty this subject is making you. Jesus can still forgive you for not thinking about others that may have lusted because of you. When you are at your judgement day and you are asked why you provoke others to lust by what you wore, are you going to answer with?: Well the sport require me to wear it. A man made sport (culture) Excuses.

I hope you've properly girded your loins with the garments the Old Testament describes. If not, I'll see you in hell.

No, instead of doing sports, let's all rot at home and eat McDonald's. The Bible must approve of that.

I dunno, I hear Michael likes his sports. He might sneak you through.

I hate people like this who insist that folks in the rainforests of Africa wear burqas.

Clothing and standards of modesty are culturally relative. The level of cover these people want is simply not appropriate for all places or activities.

A man made sport (culture) Excuses.

The Bible is also man made.

whats so wrong with lusting anyway? this may sound a little conceited, but if I'm at the beach and I see a young stud-muffin checking me out, its an instant confidence boost. Of course, its a little different when an old man or a dad with his kids does, but sexual attraction is natural, no matter what age or creed someone is.

I dont find anything wrong with lusting after someone, as long as it doesnt hurt anyone!

Caustic Gnostic

Hey, if the climate is right, nudity is the most logical choice.

And besides:

37. His disciples said, "When will you appear to us, and when will we see you?"

Jesus said, "When you strip without being ashamed, and you take your clothes and put them under your feet like little children and trample then, then [you] will see the son of the living one and you will not be afraid."

Caustic Gnostic: Please...I cannot see anything good about a return to childhood. All the effort expended in achieving adulthood, and the stability that comes with it, rendered for naught?

I will say, though, that BraveErudite is going to have a tough time figuring out what to make of naturist Christians...

I have a problem understanding why a perfect and omnipotent being should care what people chose to wear?

No one is responsible for the thoughts of another. Is that really too complicated for these people to understand?
