Okay, I watched Power Rangers when it arrived to America as a kid, and I really didn't see any allusions to any conspiracy about lizard people.
In fact, like what #1183428 questioned, the Green Ranger did turn to fight for good, but his powers were taken back by Lord Zedd. Later on the Green Ranger would become the White Ranger whose zord was a white tiger.
Not that any of this matters, because the original series isn't the current series today.
And finally, who the hell is "they" exactly?

So they serve as another handy grouping that we dullards can persecute. 2) As we churlish cretins are not renowned for our sense of humour, we can use the indigo twits as a source of amusing entertainment. Everybody else does.
So we don't necessarily exhort indigo twits to join our drooling brethren, like fuck saving their souls, they're too useful as described in the above paragraph. Really then, they can be seen as essential sacrifices for us dolts during our earthly residence. Now I'm off to do some persecuting and thence to indulge in a drool-fest.
