Harry Potter is wicked and shouldn't be supported by any Christian. Teens are trying witchcraft and experimenting with Satanism thanks to the Harry Potter series. I know someone who is probably demon possessed as an end result of this stuff. I don't care how enjoyable the stories are, they're wicked and from the pit of Hell and they're leading kids there.

"Teens are trying witchcraft and experimenting with Satanism thanks to the Harry Potter series."
As one of the HP Kids that grew up with the books, I can say that I've never tried witchcraft nor have I ever experimented with Satanism.
By the way, as Schworer has no doubt never read the book, he obviously doesn't know that the books aren't about magic. They impart messages about growing up/doing the right thing/etc within a setting of magic and fantasy.
Aawww a crazed Christian fundie who thinks he has the right to tell people what they can and can't do
Somebody call the psychiatric hospital, this chap needs some treatment
By that logic, stories like the The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank Baum, certain Brothers Grimm stories, and any film adaptations of those stories shouldn't be supported by Christians either because of the positive portrayal of witches in those stories.
Besides, Harry Potter was sooo 2000. Now it's the Twilight series that are the new 'evil'.
Edit: @Murdin - Yes I am aware of the non-fundie criticims of everything about the Twilight series. I was pointing out that the new craze is the Twilight series and not the Harry Potter series, something that fundies are not apearing to be keen of.
"Besides, Harry Potter was sooo 2000. Now it's the Twilight series that are the new 'evil'."
Well, you do not need to be a fundie to find Twilight an insult to everything that is good on vampires, romance stories, litterature, filmmaking, stupid Mary Sue protagonists, stalking, and sparkles.
Whew! I can't tell you how relieved I was to see some signs of normalcy at the last moment.
Last night, as I walked the short distance to the corner shop in order to pick up a few odds and ends, I was besieged all the way there and nearly all the way back home by the horrific sight of hordes of teenagers trying witchcraft and experimenting with Satanism. No doubt influenced by Harry Potter. I was beginning to despair and I thought to myself that there was going to be no hope for the future.
Suddenly, it was as though dark clouds were parted to give way to bright pure clean wholesome blue sky invigorated by Godly purity and peace, as in the bus shelter near my home were a group of teenagers not indulging in witchcraft and Satanism. Instead they were doing the normal teenager things like giving each other hand jobs and blow jobs or fucking each other. Glory be to God. It made my heart sing.
Hey Rick, Harry Potter is an intentional story of fiction. The auther really, truly knows the magic stuff in the book is make believe.
Hey Rick, while we are at it, the wholly babble is UNintentional fiction. The writers thought they were discussing a real gawd (just like all the other religions out there). But they were mislead by their imaginations. Just like you and thinking that people are demon possessed and such.
The Harry Potter series is a million times better than your antiquated epic poem. Rowling's writing is less than perfect, but her storytelling is phenomenal. For all its flaws, the Harry Potter series will suck you in and never spit you back out again.

I agree with the "thanks to"! But, wait, you meant "because of" Harry Potter, didn't you...?
Darn... *disappointed*
Harry Potter is old enough now to have a job of his awn and not be supported by anyone else.
As for Rick, The person who is demon-pessessed is probably you. Don't look at your eyes in the mirror. They are a dead give-away.
Now enough with the ridiculous ranting and stupid raving already. Mind your own business and save your own soul. Others will look to themselves or not, as they choose. Not as you choose. Idiot!
I know someone who is probably demon possessed as an end result of this stuff.
Or, maybe they have epilepsy, or one of a dozen other medical conditions. Nah, your right, it totally because of some good books.
As a Wiccan ex-Christian, I can honestly say that Harry Potter had nothing to do with my conversion.
Reading the Bible, however, drove me from Christianity quicker than you can say, "Expiliarmus!"
I have nothing to say about this. You know why? Because I've never read Harry Potter.
I'm guessing, Rick, that neither have you. So you can do like I do and STFU.
Yes, you're right. Everyone with half a head on their shoulders should avoid reading at all cost! Those with whole heads, however, can just go about their lives as usual.
Wow, are you behind the times. Nobody cares about Harry Potter anymore (at least not in an angry Christian sense, I still reread the books because they are hilarious and fun). By the way, I haven't been able to find my cell phone for a few weeks. The other day I said "accio cellphone" just for the hell of it. Guess what? Nothing happened!
"I know someone who is probably demon possessed as an end result of this stuff."
I know someone who is so retarded he thinks demons are real. Unlike the Harry Potter fans who know the stories are fiction.
Hail Satan or something or other!
I love people like the OP, they just make me giggle from the stupidity...
Hard to tell Harry Potter books from the bible, really. Both are completely fictictious, scientitically impossible, logically absurd, and factually ludicrous.
Unfortunately, though, the former was never meant to be taken as the sum total of human knowledge. Oh yes, and it must be much better written than the bible, because it could hardly be worse.
I still wonder why these guys didn't notice "Discworld" series.
Ohter than that, these people like to bitch about everything and judging the product outside of culture of origin, ie Miyazaki animation "Kiki's delivery service" which caused "LOL WITCHCRAFT".
Not only that glorious nippon divides good witches and bad witches, have little to no relation to demons of they wish but most of it is already fiction.
If above fails, replace "Harry Potter" with any popular franchisé; Ie something that keeps kids away from such like Pokémon for identical effect.
Teens are trying witchcraft? But surely any person who has read the books would know that if you havent received your letter from Hogwarts by the age of 11 then you are a muggle. What could these teens get out of trying witchcraft?
Also, how did Satan get involved? He isnt even mentioned in the book, and Harry fights against the greatest evil in the world, he doesnt endorse it.
You must really not be very sure of your faith if you view a fictional book as competition to your religion.

This would be true, except that it's NOT. I remember when Harry Potter was hotter than ten thousand burning suns, and no one who read the books ever got into "witchcraft" or "Satanism". Furthermore, most of those people I know were devout Christians .
I know someone who is probably demon possessed as an end result of this stuff. I don't care how enjoyable the stories are, they're wicked and from the pit of Hell and they're leading kids there.
I thought lying was against the Ten Commandments?
Then again, you could just have extremely low standards for what is and isn't "demon possessed". Your friend is just a fanboy/fangirl. As long as they don't write any crappy fanfics and post them on the internet, you'll be safe.
Confused?
