Where is this guy? I want to stand next to him and hand out korans and books of mormon.
7/26/2010 5:20:57 AM
But wouldn't that be persecution? In fact, just standing next to him minding your own business would be a form of persecution. After all, you're forcing him to acknowledge that other (non-fundie) people exist and that's against his religious sensibilities.

Prof. Bill Hill
I realize that you must be persecuted in order to fulfill your Biblical obligations, but the persecuting has to be genuine, as it probably sometimes was in the good old days. I'm afraid that if there is no genuine persecution taking place, which there isn't, then, well, tough luck. To try and refer to fairly innocuous events such as criticism of your cult as persecution augers for a rather long period spent at His Stupendousness's pleasure awaiting eternity's end in His rather extensive torture chambers.
Don't get me wrong Acts5:41, as much as I appreciate your ignorance and stupidity, and I truly do, misrepresentation of His Superbness's word will not be looked upon in too kindly a manner. OK, I also know that you slaver very well in your doltish cult, and I know that it serves a very useful purpose for ignorant and stupid people like you. But I speak only out of concern for your well-being, and not because I want you to turn to my ceiling monologueing brethren.
Drool on brother. But remember, lies and misrepresentation along with extraordinary braggadocio and unnecessary competitiveness could be the downfall of your upwardly aspiring cult.

Doubting ThomasI really wonder sometimes when I'm handing out Bibles, how long I'll be ABLE to do it.
Probably until the day you die, or until you fundies finally destroy the First Amendment, whichever comes first.
How long before anything to do with evangelism is targeted?
Just because 99% of Americans don't want to listen to your evangelical bullshit, either owing to not being religious or already practicing Christianity or another religion, doesn't mean that that evangelism is being "targeted." And the other 1% are already fundie evangelists, so you're just preaching to each other.
P.S. Why the hell does anyone need a free bible handed to them anyway? The bible is online on several different websites. My personal favorite is http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com
7/26/2010 7:56:47 AM
As long as you clean up the mess. X3
I really wonder sometimes when I'm handing out Bibles, how long I'll be ABLE to do it. How long before they shut down my providers of literature? How long before anything to do with evangelism is targeted?"
Have you had your basic human rights curtailed, to the extent that you no longer have any
rights whatsoever, so that gangs of Atheists can beat you up, smash your windows, take your valuables & assets and ghettoise you? Then ultimately have you & your ilk rounded up & put in concentration camps where you're used as slave labour, beaten, tortured, used in hideous experiments, then gassed & incinerated?
...no? Well then. STFU. I've met & talked with a survivor of the worst of the Nazis' death factories, Auschwitz. You & your ilk know nothing of 'Persecution'.
"I think that is one reason I feel so compelled to do it."
You'll go blind doing that. X3
"Better get your tracts now while you still can."
From Jack Chick? Well, fundies of a feather slime together after all.
"On the positive side, did you know Bibles are a non-tax item in Texas?"
If you & your ilk are so concerned about being sucked off by your J-man, why are you - particularly your pastor - worried about money?
PROTIP: Here in the UK, according to our laws, selling porn on Sunday is legal, but selling Bibles on Sunday is illegal.
'I really wonder sometimes when I'm handing out Bibles, how long I'll be ABLE to do it.'
"Probably until the day you die, or until you fundies finally destroy the First Amendment, whichever comes first."
Thus fundies will be able to hump their Bibles to their heart's content. Well, they have to find something to do whilst waiting for that (C)Rapture.
7/26/2010 8:21:12 AM
Persecution is coming? come on, America is mostly christian. Dumbass.
7/26/2010 9:24:53 AM
Better get your tracts now while you still can.
On the positive side, did you know Bibles are a non-tax item in Texas?
Does this sound like a ad to anyone else?
Acts5:41 probably owns a Christian bookstore and is trying to get people to buy more stuff.
7/26/2010 9:35:50 AM
"How long before they shut down my providers of literature?"
I thought God's printing press would have been nigh impossible to shut down.
"I think that is one reason I feel so compelled to do it."
I think it's the tapeworm
7/26/2010 9:39:01 AM
Yes...bibles and Christians are so persecuted...and by the way, did you know the bible has a special tax forgiveness on it that many other books, religious or otherwise, do not enjoy.
7/26/2010 11:07:09 AM
Yeah because you believe that since you guys will no longer be able to persecute others for their beliefs, that automatically means that you're going to be persecuted.
BTW, that is completely false. Then again, you fundtards seem to believe in a double standard. You go and call for other peoples' beliefs to be shut down, and shove bibles in bus drivers' faces while they're trying to drive. Yet when you get called on your bullshit you scream "PERSECUTION!!!"
You're free to believe whatever the hell you wish, but we are also free to not have to endure your proselytizing either. You can't force us to believe in whatever it is you believe in.
7/26/2010 11:45:40 AM
Oh noes! What will I use to stoke my Bible burning steam calliope? (Making a joyful noise since 1971).
7/26/2010 1:51:06 PM
Fundies, you need to understand this. You cannot persecute the majority! And I know that if I actually said this to a fundie, they would come up with about a bilion different bullshit ways to prove me wrong.
7/26/2010 3:23:30 PM
YOU ARE PUBLICLY HANDING OUT BIBLES, AND YOU'RE WONDERING IF PERSECUTION IS AROUND THE CORNER?! Jesus Fucking Christ on a Pogo-Stick, this proves it...these wingnuts wouldn't know persecution if it jumped up and bit them in the ass, and as such, define it as not being able to make the rules for everyone, like a five-year old marching around the playground. FUCK!
7/26/2010 3:48:31 PM
Pfft! In Oregon, Bibles are non-taxable. Then again, all books and goods are non-taxable!
7/26/2010 4:12:06 PM
Bender Bending Rodriguez
Funny how your screen name is "Acts 5:41." If you read the end of Acts 4 and the beginning of Acts 5, you'll see that the earliest Christian communities were quite communistic in nature.
Read your own Bible, idiot.
7/27/2010 4:46:49 PM
If your right to hand out free books was ever truly in danger, I can assure you that most atheists, agnostics, and freethinkers, would stand in support of your right. We believe in freedom of speech and freedom of religion, more so than many christians do.
7/27/2010 7:52:31 PM
As unrlated notes, part "perse" in persecution here means word "ass" in my language.
Therefore, I'd use word "asscution" as it fits like bread to butter.
7/29/2010 6:30:14 AM
You guys still praying for persecution? Perhaps praying for some sadism? You can seek out somebody that will give you a spanking now and then with an obligatory arse whooping but it will cost you.
7/29/2010 3:54:36 PM
Why would they ban the number one printed book in the world? It's not like bibles are rare and few. There are more bibles then ANY OTHER BOOK. Just rent a motel room.
7/30/2010 5:25:35 PM
"It's coming... persecution."
"Did you know Bibles are a non-tax item in Texas?"
7/31/2010 11:51:47 PM
I need to make up a list of all the most horrific Bible verses so if anyone tries to hand me one, I can flip through it with them to point all of the worst atrocities that God committed.
8/2/2010 2:49:15 PM
I would accept a copy, then proceed throwing it the burning kindling barrel of nearest bum just out of spite.
That is more religious harrasment than anything.
8/3/2010 8:51:50 AM
First, the First Amendment protects YOU too. So legally, no one can stop evangelism.
Second, I am not interested in your tracts. They are all ridiculous. Not to mention they are offensive to Catholics and... just about everyone else.
3/5/2011 9:15:58 AM
"Have you ever noticed you see no ragged worn from use Bibles? (the copy I mentioned was thirty years old and in near new condition) Try finding a shiny-new Doc Savage paperback anywhere."
The Bible I have here is rather worn, it's been patched up with tape, someone has crossed over something with a black permanent marker and it has a large stain on the first pages. I don't know how it got like that, it's my husband's but I've never seen him use it. It was printed in 1929, so it has probably had many owners since then.
To the original poster: As long as Bibles are non-tax items, you are privileged, rather than persecuted. How stupid can you get?
3/5/2011 9:31:55 AM
You are not persecuted in any way, shape or form. You're just not allowed to persecute others.
