Quote# 7462

[Replying to "Science can do nothing with the theory of intelligent design because it makes no predictions."]If the Intelligent Designer predicted a certain event, and the event happened, we would have verification rather than falsification. 'Let there be light.' (Genesis 1) And the Big Bang occurred. Science verifies the Big Bang, the unleashing of light throughout the early universe. Then why not deduce an Intelligent Designer?

Fallacy of ambiguity, bitch. We're talking about the theory here, not what the supposed creator thinks.

Because Occam's razor tells us the big bang could have occurred without god.

'Let there be light'

Yeah. See, that was written down when everyone had already seen, you know, light.

Your priest never taught you Latin and the meaning of A POSTERIORI. Obviously.

So bible was written before big bang?

So the bible predates the Big Bang? Do you have any idea how moronic a concept that is?

To fit the Big Bang it would be more appropiate to state: "Let there be everything"

Genesis in no way covers the Universe.

Oh yes. So 'Intelligent' was this 'Designer', that he couldn't have predicted - and thus said so in his 'full of future prophecy' Word of God - what would have happened just a year later from your posting what you did on said forum, Carl.

Hindsight isn't 20-20 I think you'll find, Carly-boy. And that's before I mentioned who it was who personally appointed the self-same judge who made that agenda-annihilating decision, and who voted in said person - twice - who were like him: Conservative Christians who believe in Creationism.

Seems your supposedlly 'omniscient' God isn't all that 'All-knowing' eh...?

And if a 'God' doesn't know everything: past, present & future, then...! >:D

If I predict that the sun will come up in the morning, and it does, that does not mean that I made the sun come up.

Okay. Provide a list of all the events this designer predicted. We will then go through all of history and see how many of those things came true.
