Why is there a question mark over the fossil record? The fossil record is freaking huge...
I get why there's a question mark over the origin of life, but what does that have to do with evolution?
And even if we didn't have a fossil record, we could still infer that we evolved simply by watching species evolve. Yes, you can, in fact, watch evolution happen, in your own lifetime. Amazing, isn't it?
Without the fossil record, you could, I suppose, argue that we didn't evolve. But you could not argue that we don't currently evolve. And if we're evolving now, then who's to say we didn't evolve in the past...? Why now, and not then? So the burden of proof would still fall on you.
But unfortunately for you, we DO have the fossil record, and it's pretty damn huge and illuminating, too. So you've got an even more gigantic burden of proof on your hands. And yet you have the audacity to challenge our evidence? You have none of your own. God, the hypocrisy is painful...
