As much as I want to feel angry towards Larry Adams, all I can feel is pity. Discovering the Bible? I thought it had been around in plain sight for some 1700 years. I was aware that there was such a thing as the Bible from about age 6.
Poor Adams to live a life without culture (of which the Bible is an important part, whether myth or Truth) for forty years. Poor Adams for believing himself to be an abomination.
Read the New Testament instead, Adams, it's much more inclusive and loving than the OT.
Where's the courage in threatening others with a death sentence? I call that cowardice, definitely.
Almost all homosexuals are born by heterosexual parents. How then can killing off homosexuals reduce the rate of homosexuality in the future?
I see no threat whatsoever to my marriage in the fact that homosexuals are allowed to marry also.
I just find it even more inclusive and "love-thy-neighbor"-ish to have gender-neutral marriage laws.

Who is this simple God that the Bible tells us of? A savage sky-barbarian with a mania for genocide and petty tyranny. That's who. A loutish male thing driven by murderous impulses and consumed by raging jealousies. A repugnant jerk who has an implacable urge to torture those who are insufficiently sycophantic towards Him. He is the ideal figurehead for the raving loonies who slavishly follow His every utterance, no matter how cretinous. And many of His utterances are cretinous, judging by the Bible as an example of His word.
This idiotic God reminds me of the utter nutter that the Muslims follow. He is just as cretinous and barbaric. Why don't they battle it out like the warrior sky toads that they resemble and leave their earthly lunatics alone for a change. Ah, but they're the same sky-thing, apparently, with different deranged interpretations about them/it. However, both interpretations somehow manage to be very alike in their bonkers manner of bolstering male inadequacy and in the suppressing of females into being little more than sexual conveniences for jerkoid dolts.

I watched the video of the interview. He comes across as a gentle old grampa, if slightly confused, but there is an especially telling slip when the male staffer from the NOM group mentioned in the quote puts his hand on Adam's shoulder to attract his attention. Adams obviously thinks he is one of the LGBT crowd and immediatley reacts "Take your hands off me!". There is hatred and violence in his voice. As soon as he realises the man is "one of the good guys" (Adams' words) his voice and demenour change back.
No wonder he's angry, supressing his true identity. Buit that's his responsibility and his choice. Fuck him for taking out that anger on others who have done nothing to him but highlight his own fucked up life-choices.

I get that homosexuality and witchcraft are still bad. And that circumcision is now optional. You can now mix meat and dairy. And get a tattoo. And wear clothes of mixed fabric. And eat pork, shellfish, and rabbit. And I guess the death penalty for gathering sticks on the sabbath is a bit of a harsh punishment. But I really don't get the logic behind how they decided these things.

Various passages in the New Testament give contradictory accounts of when, how, and why those things were decided. Most modern Christians just ignore all of those accounts and claim that whatever OT laws they don't want to follow were "old ceremonial laws" that were "nailed to the Cross."
