You mean no buddhist, jainist or atheist husband can ever be "gentle, thoughtful and kind" towards his wife?

Except the typical hard-core fundamentalist idea of being thoughtful and kind is generally about putting you on a pedestal and treating you like an overgrown child.

As an atheist and a gentleman, I have no problems with treating a woman with kindness, respect, and as an equal. While moderate Christians tend to be like this as well, I cannot say the same for fundies. It's usually your ilk that treat women as if they are nothing more than breeding stock.

As opposed to Christian husbands who believe that they are saved through grace, and therefore are forgiven for any sin they commit, regardless of who it hurts or how badly. Or, as your lot likes to call such men, real Christians.
