I had a lesbian friend get married in Iowa recently, and last I checked no marriages were destroyed because of it. In her wedding pictures we see a very happy supportive family surrounding her. When my brother came out of the closet, none of the other marriages in my family ended because of it. In fact we were all happy that he finally accepted who he was and is now very happy with his life. (Which also proves beyond a doubt that this isn't a choice)

Any threats to your marriage come from within, period. Marriages fail for many reasons, and they last forever for many reasons, but the two men down the street minding their own business is not one of those reasons.

Even if they WERE destroying marriage, that's a hell of a disproportionate retribution. People can still live without marriage (and some do) but killing people causes permanent harm to them.
