Yes, the followers of one of the fastest growing religions in the world totally put toppling the US government as top priority over faith and worshiping the same God that Christians worship.
Does anyone else get the feeling that it's sort of egotistical to assume the US is number 1 in EVERYONE'S minds? Like that's all Muslims ever think about?
As for the USA Hate: it's a really bad idea to judge an entire country by its worst. Every country has a national stereotype. It's arbitrary to claim that America's is any more true than, say, France's stereotype for being snobby and mean.
I'm an American and though I disagree with large swaths of the population, I'm not defined by them. I'm liberal, gay and agnostic. I'm slender, I'm polite and I have a good intellectual capacity. I'm a good person. But I guess that doesn't matter because of where I was born and raised. I guess my identity, conflicting with the loud, fat, gun-toting, cowboy stereotype as it may, is irrelevant.
It bothers me I'd never do that to other people yet so many would so readily do it to me. I don't assume every English person is going to have bad teeth or that every French person is a total asshole. Because those stereotypes are stupid and petty. But I guess because it's fashionable and easy, it's totally okay to classify me into a ridiculous stereotype.
America has a LOT of issues, I readily admit to that. I'm not being an apologist about it. But we have good traits too. EVERY country has it's good and bad. But who cares about realizing that truth when it's so much easier to paint easy targets in broad strokes, right?
