The push for same sex marriage is based on a desire for equa rights and status under the the law.
is completely hollow and will devalue marriage that is between a man and a women.
I hear that shit from people like you all the time, but not a single one of them has ever given a legitimate or valid explanation as to how same sex marriage will devalue, or even so much as affect, traditional marriage in any way whatsoever.
Why? The answer is that if marriage is just about “love, commitment etc” then these are the people I want to marry: 1. My wife 2. My son 3. My mother 4. My father 5. My sister 6. My brother

Your basic premise is bullshit and any argument stemming from it is fecally flawed. No one, gay or straight, is advocating for the right to marry everyone they love or are commited too. The premise for same sex marriage is, and has always been, based in a desire for the right to marry the person of their choice regardless of gender.
See how marriage has been devalued?
No.
It has been devalued because low it is equal to what I have with numbers 2 to 6; and if I had the same as what I have with my wife with the people listed 2 to 6, then I should be in jail and if that was global across society, then society would be very perverted.
But no one is making that sort of argument in favor of same sex marriage, and no amount of claiming that they are will ever make it so.
