Let us put things into perspective, shall we? The American idea of freedom of religion came from our Founding Fathers. At that time people weren't flying planes into our buildings, and domestic terrorism from Muslim extremists wasn't something our country was dealing with. It is my belief that our Founding Fathers would have been more specific in their freedom-of-religion campaign had they known the price would be our Twin Towers and the thousands of Americans inside. This country has given shelter to many who are under attack for their beliefs, but when their beliefs start attacking our people, that's when we have problems.

Terrorists from every religion are horribly misguided arseholes. They need something to bring them out of their miserable lives and are made to think they're doing God's work when all they're really doing is fulfilling the wishes of some arsehole higher up on their foodchain.

Those that planned the 9/11 attacks were terrorists. Those terrorists were Muslims. Not all Muslims are terrorists. They are not equivalent.

To be able to blatantly end human life one has to be able to see those people as notpeople. Your rhetoric is the sort of talk that leads people to view the targets of your rhetoric as notpeople. Shits like you are what eventually give rise to people who can look another person in the eye say "i do not recognise your right to life".

Well, considering the 'Alien and Sedition Act,' your kind have had their fearmongering fingers in things for a long time. So some of our early folks might have considered such legislation. The Pilgrims Wozza mentioned, after all, were horrifically intolerant. Rhode Island got founded by their persecuted heretics, though, and they like the Quakers of Pennsylvania had policies of tolerance.

But...Chrissy you moron...the Twin Towers did not fall because of religious tolerance, unless by that you mean 'failure to put all heathens and heretics to the sword or ICBM worldwide.' The attackers were foreigners. If we were more intolerant on our own soil they would only have had more reason to hate us, and perhaps needed to take a little more care placing Caucasianoid agents in some cases.

Terrorist bombers in Algiers during the French-Algerian war sent in women in French fashions, with veils off and their hair bouffant, and the checkpoint guards didn't even consider checking their bags for bombs. Your way does no one any good, and much harm.

Proved wrong much, Crissy? Oh, and I suggest you read the Jefferson Bible. Or not, if you value your 'faith'. Certainly your reliance on said Founding Fathers as the basis of your perspective on 'freedom of religion' and your own attitude to beliefs different to yours.

No, previously you had your own home-grown terrorists. Example: Timothy McVeigh, perpetrator of the Oklahoma City atrocity in 1995. 168 people murdered, including 19 children.
