Okay, let's assume that you're not just completely making this shit up and that there exists some record of him saying he's a Muslim. Why on Earth would you choose that to be the only thing you believe? Because it fits your preconceived notions? This is what is called confirmation bias. He's said hundreds of times that he's a Christian and even went to a Christian church (Reverand Wright scandal, hello?) which means that if he also claimed to be Muslim then at best his religion would be ambiguous. However, to those that have already made up their minds before seeing the evidence, even a single quote mine that makes a very tenuous connection is enough to overturn hundreds of clear statements to the contrary.
