Separation of Mosque and State is the exact reason why you morons can't stop them from putting a place of worship in NYC. See how that works?

"Separation of Mosque & State is not as PC as Church & State separation"
It's the same thing. No state-sponsored religion.
"cuz Christians don't blow people up or fly into buildings"
Historically, Christian fundamentalists haven't been that far from it.
"we just try to save life in the womb"
Which is just code for disregarding the independent life of the woman as worthless and enslaving her as men's property.
"and preserve morality in our nation."
Homosexuality is not immoral. Persecuting and discriminating against them is.
8/26/2010 3:17:28 PM
Yes, because EVERY Muslim has murdered someone in the name of their faith, and because NO Christian has ever done likewise.
It must be so nice, living in a world where everything single nuance of society can be reduced into single-sentence factoids. No critical thinking required! Just add Jeebus!
8/26/2010 3:18:55 PM
"...cuz Christians don't blow people up..."
The Irish Republican Army
The Ku Klux Klan
The Covenant, the Sword, and the Arm of the Lord
The Army of God
Consider your point refuted.
8/26/2010 3:23:42 PM
Timothy McVeigh blew up a lot of people in Oklahoma City, and he was Christian, but you don't seem to remember that one.
8/26/2010 3:27:00 PM
There have been Christian bombers since there have been bombs. These days there are plenty of Christians who believe it is their moral duty to kill abortion doctors.
Christianity doesn't tell these people to do these things, of course. But then, there was nothing about flying planes into buildings in the Koran, either. Point is, the government protects your right to practice your religion, but only if it doesn't harm others. That's the way it should be.
8/26/2010 3:31:30 PM
When people kill in the name of Christianity, they're insane and not an example of the religion as a whole.
When people kill in the name of Islam, they're an example of the religion as a whole.
It's so totally simple, guys, and makes SO much sense.
8/26/2010 3:38:20 PM
I'm still unclear as to why a microscopic, non-sentient clump of cells is more precious than an adult woman with family and friends and hopes and dreams and fears. I wonder if Buzzardguts would care so much if said cells were going to be born gay, or into a Muslim family.
8/26/2010 3:50:23 PM
> we just try to save life in the womb and preserve morality in our nation.
Finally, a fundie who is not afraid to admit that they don't care about Christian teachings, just their pet political theories.
"Applying morality in everyday life" I can understand. "Preserving morality in our nation" is a code word that means you don't care damn about whether the morality in question is right or wrong, whether it's applicable to whole of humanity at all, or whether or not it's actually applicable in real life in any shape or form; you just want to make it happen wherever you're eligible to vote.

Separation of Mosque & State is not as PC as Church & State separation...
I smell willful ignorance here. Sepration of Church and State isn't picking on you. It's saying that NO religion has the right to stick their fingers in the state. Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Pastafarianism...all of them.
...cuz Christians don't blow people up...
Horseshit, you guys just tend to be left standing after the fact, as opposed to martyring yourselves.
...or fly into buildings...
Your point? You've had your own moments of..."creativity," too, y'know.
...we just try to save life in the womb...
Ignoring the fact that the mother may not survive the birth, and occasionally by bombing abortion clinics, or murdering the doctors that perform the abortions. But it's for JESUS, so it's okay, right?
...and preserve morality in our nation.
By stripping people of rights, and if they step past your "morality" you have a lovely tendancy to beat or kill them.
Yes, you are so morally superior to the evil Muslim Extremists...
8/26/2010 3:55:21 PM
Yeah, cause the Crusades, the Inquistion, the Holocaust, the Salem witch trials, bombing abortion clinics, and stabbing Muslims is all SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO loving.
8/26/2010 4:06:24 PM
Adult women are not entitled to make decisions, and everyone should accept our version of morality.
8/26/2010 4:07:46 PM
Save a life in the womb by killing the doctor who would abort it or blowing up the clinic offering services like that.
Yeah, that's more moral all right.
8/26/2010 4:15:04 PM
... by blowing people up and driving cars into buildings.
8/26/2010 4:16:12 PM
I want all you religious nutters-regardless of which mythology you follow-to keep your laws off my body and out of my pocket book.
8/26/2010 4:19:45 PM
The first amendment only uses the word "religion," meaning any religion at all. Just because you fundies don't understand the wall of separation doesn't mean that the government is going to sponsor Islam.
Oh and while Christians don't seem to blow themselves up to kill other people, they have been known to shoot abortion doctors and bomb clinics.
8/26/2010 4:37:33 PM
Separation of Mosque & State is not as PC as Church & State
What about separation of Catholics and State, or Separation of Baptists and State, or Separation of Greek Orthodox and State, or Separation of Presbyterians and State, or Separation of Coptic Orthodox of Alexandria and State, or Separation of Church of Bangladesh and State, or ...
They're all Christians .. you're OK with those?
8/26/2010 4:47:26 PM
Teh Christians like blowing shit up just as much as teh Muslims, if not more.
Also, I'm pretty sure the Rapture Ready Muslims are not into abortion either.
You fail on all your points.
8/26/2010 4:48:35 PM
Or burn heretics at the stake----oh wait.
8/26/2010 5:11:18 PM
Christians don't blow people up or fly into buildings
Google beziers massacre.

Allegory for Jesus
Point the first: "Church" is a metonym for religion, given that the phrase arose in an environment that was Christocentric. As a result "separation of church and state" includes mosques. Also: synagogues and temples.
Point the second: Christian terrorists have existed and still exist, and outright warfare on the part of largely Christian nations (like the U.S.) has to entail some "blow[ing] people up", right?
Point the third: You attempt to save life in the womb at detriment to the already born and preserve "morality" by preserving discriminatory and arbitrary traditions.
Point the final: The entire premise for your complaint is absurd because there is no favoritism shown to Islam, they have no more say in government matters than Christians, no more protected by government than Christians are. This is of course assuming that your complaint is over something substantial, such as "Mosques" not being subjected to same laws as churches, rather than something completely inane such as bitching that the centuries old phrase "separation of church and state" uses the word "church" in it. I wonder if I have assumed too much...
8/26/2010 5:22:47 PM
No no no. You try to impose your silly version of "morality" on the country.
Having sex before marriage, hiring prostitutes, gambling, drinking, watching pron, smoking weed, ect. Have nothing to do with morality because they don't hurt anyone but the person doing them. Because this isn't a theocracy you don't get to impose your religions views of aforementioned vices on everyone else.
Personally, I love smoking pot. I have never funded a drug lord, or contributed to crime. I'm not hurting anyone. So stay the fuck out of my business you religious prick.
8/26/2010 5:29:05 PM
I'd facepalm at the idiocy of this statement, but it's Buzzardhut.
8/26/2010 5:29:46 PM
emau99Separation of Mosque & State is not as PC as Church & State separation
Actually, they're exactly the same thing...and they're both in the Constitution. Pretty cool, huh?
...cuz Christians don't blow people up...
Sure they do. Look at Ireland, or the anti-abortion violence in the US (Does the name Eric Rudolph ring a bell?).
...or fly into buildings...
...we just try to save life in the womb and preserve morality in our nation.
You sure do:
Edit: Thanks, DevilsChaplain!
