Or it might be because atheism by definition isn't an organized, unified movement that demands money, so there's really no way to pool enough resources to do any of those things.

So speaks the renowned philanthropist and champion soccer player, Andy Schlafly.
What? Oh, he's just another pompous asshat displaying his ignorance? Nevermind, then.

And as we all well know, the only ways to be considered a good person are to build hospitals and win sport championships.
I was trying to decode the World Cup comment to see if it was a dig at Landon Donovan somehow, but I couldn't find anything that indicated he was an atheist. There I go somehow giving Andy too much credence.

Andy, if you've never heard of Bill Gates' philanthropy, you shouldn't be using a computer. Actually, you shouldn't be using any devices based on the work of that atheist Edison.

..."and they don't win sports championships like the World Cup either. "
This part just made me laugh. Now Assfly is starting to throw tantrums like an angry little child who can't get his way.

I've heard of the idiotic "No atheists in foxholes" line, but "No atheists in championships"?

Andy Schafly has an actual juris doctorate from an actual academic institution. Not some bullshit Christian diploma mill. How can he possibly be this stupid?
I'm still holding out hope that he's the most awesome Poe of all time. I realize that huge amounts of evidence suggest otherwise, but maybe he's just that good...?
...please...?

What's the name for a self-centered, uncharitable person who censors classroom prayer?
At the risk of a Brit lecturing an American on their own constitution, remember the First Amendment?
I wasn't aware that competitors in the World Cup were required to declare their religion (or lack of it) either.

What the fuck would an American know about World Cup Soccer?
Especially a clueless moron like you who doesn't realize that his Founders were the ones who didn't want exclusive prayer in the classroom?
You're an idiot, Schlafly, if you think your god thinks anything about useless sports tournaments. These are human pursuits and gods have never played a part in them.

It's like Andy's not even trying anymore.

Another FAIL by Andy. This guy is the Wayne Gretzy of dumb comments. The Great Deluded One. A FSTDT legend.
Note: his name is incorrectly spelled. It's Schlafly.

Interesting -- the two largest charitable donators in the world, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, are both atheists. I'm pretty sure some of the multi-billions the two have donated have built hospitals -- as a matter of fact, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation built quite a few hospitals in Africa to help treat AIDS there.

So if classroom prayer was freely allowed the USA would have won the World Cup?
There's a bunch of guys in Spain who would like to have a word with you. Also, Italy, Germany, Brazil, France, Argentina etc etc (past WC winners, in case ole Andy's knowledge of sports is as tenuous as his grasp of logic).

Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that classroom prayer isn't actually forbidden unless the teacher or another state-paid worker is organizing it.
I also wanted to let you know about the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, one of the largest charities in America, run by an atheist.

Born again Christian, and horror/b-movie critic Joe Bob Briggs explains the school prayer issue, pretty well: http://www.wittenburgdoor.com/ultimate-word-school-prayer
