Quote# 75758

To be sure, the rally held two blocks from the World Trade Center was not a decisive defeat of the enemy like that dealt by the storied British “Desert Rats” to Hitler’s Afrika Korps in November 1942. But there was something pivotal about the fact that throngs of ordinary Americans – many of them family or friends of those who died on 9/11 – had come together to stand for hours in an intermittent rain not just to contest the construction of a megamosque at a wholly inappropriate location, but in informed opposition to the impetus behind that mosque: shariah. …

God-fearing Americans need to be informing themselves on the implications of the movement of those practicing taqqiya and stealth jihad. And, most importantly God-fearing Americans need to be humbling themselves and seeking His face and remembering their God and all that He has done for us in this land of so much abundance, grace, mercy and Truth.

How has it suddenly changed from a community center to a mosque to a megamosque?

TB Tabby

"Megamosque?!" You're calling it a "Megamosque" and claiming to be "informed?!"

So then I lay the question at their feet. How far is far enough then? 5 blocks? 10? 20? New Jersey? Should we just play it safe and destroy all the Mosques in New York, so the mean ol' Muslims can show how truly sorry they are for the actions of their extremists? Or are you willing to admit it has nothing to do with the proximity to Ground Zero, and everything to do with the fact that it's Muslims exercising their freedom of religion?

But there was something pivotal about the fact that throngs of ordinary Americans – many of them family or friends of those who died on 9/11 – had come together to stand for hours in an intermittent rain

Just like Bull Connors KKK cops delt a decisive defeat to the commie niggers who were trying to racemix America out of existence.

christian leftie

So do you also object to the Mosque that is closer to Ground Zero but that also already exists?

How about the other houses of worship?

I'm not even going to bother with the bigoted islamophobic comments.

But there was something pivotal about the fact that throngs of ordinary Americans ... had come together to stand for hours in an intermittent rain not just to contest the construction of a megamosque

I assume by "ordinary Americans," you mean those who think that this is a Christian nation and have absolutely no idea that the First Amendment guarantees freedom to practice religions other than Chrsitianity or none at all?

but in informed opposition to the impetus behind that mosque: shariah.

How informed can someone be if they think that Muslims are going to somehow secretly change the U.S. Constitution to allow Muslim religious beliefs to become law?

God-fearing Americans need to be informing themselves on the implications of the movement of those practicing taqqiya and stealth jihad.

If anyone's turning this into a jihad, it's the Christians who are protesting the Muslim center.

...God-fearing Americans need to be humbling themselves and seeking His face and remembering their God and all that He has done for us...

You mean like allowing 9/11 to happen in the first place, Hurricane Katrina, and any number of disasters that have happened throughout the history of the United States?

And if God has a problem with the Muslim center, then let him say so.

The way Bill exaggerates, in a week it he'll be saying all of America stood there for days while battered by hurricane force storms.

The new home of Megatron. Yeesssss, yeeesssss.

"...and remembering their God and all that He has done for us..."

'Spose it has to be remembrance when you can't see anything he's done recently.

Also, boohoo to the First Amendment, amiright?

A hole in the ground is the only part of NYC that rednecks are about. They hate all the rest of the city and all the people in it. They're making the same mistake the highjackers did- seeing the World Trade Center as a symbolic target, and not an actual place populated by people of every religion and ethnicity.
TOTAL COUNT 2,976
minus foreigners - 236
AMERICANS 2,740 (not all Christians!)

I'll say this much, he got the 2 blocks away part right. But it's not a mega-mosque. Bill still fails.

I should think that, before "God-fearing Americans {begin} ... informing themselves on the implication of the movement of those practicing taqqiya and stealth jihad", they should first begin informing themselves that there's quite literally nothing to be fearful of up front.

I hope this argument goes on longer so I can watch people compete with one another for the most hyperbolic description of the thing. I"m waiting for it to be described as an ubergalactic supermosque!

9/2/2010 8:13:20 AM

These God-fearing Americans are perfectly free to fear Allah as well. Same fictitious character, after all.

9/2/2010 8:22:49 AM

So the Muslim Cultural Center has now become a "Mega-Mosque" to these people.

"Throngs?" Exactly how many throngs? How many people does it take to have one throng? If you don't have enough for two, is that a throng and a half? Did they converge on NYC via the Throg's Neck Bridge?

Do you think we don't know how easy it is to convince a group of manipulated dopes to stand in the rain and protest just about anything? Go home. There are plenty of assholes in the streets of NY already.

Has anyone told these idiots Manhattan is only 2 1/2 miles wide by 5 1/2 miles long?

By Texas standards, everything in Manhattan is 2 blocks away.

"...remembering their God and all that He has done for us in this land of so much abundance, grace, mercy and Truth."

So who gave us the Bill of Rights that you so clearly disdain? Could it be ... oh, I don't know ... Satan? Or maybe magical beings have nothing to do with events in this (or any other) country.

So, we shouldn't let Japanese live in Hawaii because of 12/7/41? We shouldn't allow white people in Selma, Alabama? We shouldn't allow churches in Salem, Mass.?

How about if we just don't allow fear and stupidity in American politics? Yeah, I know, dream on Papabear.

Megamosque? Is that like a megachurch? Also it isn't really informed. And no Sharia will not take hold here, community centre or not

Megamosque? Are they afraid that it's going to transform into a giant robot programmed to destroy skyscrapers?

Storied? I think you mean legendary. Maybe all those multi-storey Manhattan buildings are confusing you.

You're certainly confused about something.

So I guess stealth jihad is ok in the name of christianity Bill? Why can't you see that you are exactly the same as the nut jobs you are protesting against. No difference.
