I may be slow, but...how and when did Jews-and-Christians become a united camp of 'good guys,' and Muslims become the sibling left out in the cold?
Have you BEEN to medieval Spain?
Ok, so no, neither have I, sadly, but that's the place (you know, pre-Inquisition) where the three groups interacted the most, and you know what? What you say maketh no sense.
I'm seeing Christianity as this anthropomorphic entity who, after the Holocaust, is so incredibly horrified at what a crazy part of him just did that he picks up his skinny, scarred, currently beaten-half-to-death older brother and hugs him tight, denying he ever did it and promising this is the end, he won't hit him anymore, honest, it's over. And even means it, except for sometimes when he just has to get at him. Even gives him presents.
Then their little brother sets off a firework in his room, burning all three of them and several friends and wrecking some of Christy's stuff, and he sets off on a campaign of ranting hatred for little Mu, who he's been fighting with for ages and bullying more and more ever since Daddy stopped giving the little guy special treatment, all that luck and education and stuff. With Jude for the most part coming along for the ride, because he still wants his old room back but knows that even though he's eldest he's not tough enough to kick Mu out on his own, and anyway, the longer X-man can go without hitting him, the better.
Okay, how offensive did that extended analogy just manage to inadvertently be? Jude, Christy, and Mu will be returning for special appearances, unless they get me hate mail or something. Well, that would be pretty much impossible, so hate thread-spam.
