Given how much pure hatred people have to face from people like you over things they have no control over I'd say that they tend to have a much strong character than the spoiled fundies who aren't happy just being a part of multiple majorities but want to curbstomp every minority out there and will throw a fit when they can't.

So here he's backed in to a corner and shown proof that children of gay parents have no higher chance of being gay, but then completely ignores it and starts attacking said proof (a living, breathing human being) for a (completely unrelated) perceived character flaw.

As a liberal who was raised as a diehard conservative, I call bullshit on the idea that we're all brainwashed from an early age.
Granted, it took me ages to overcome the issues I had as a result of my unusually-strict upbringing, but liberalism had nothing to do with the formation of any psychological or social quirks I have.
People like this are very funny; I hear that even though their views are obsolete(everyone finally realized that they never needed creeps like this), the circuses are doing them a favor by hiring them, so that people can listen to their childish antics and laugh at them.

They're also homophobic, racist and misogynist. And they're anti-democracy, because the moment someone is elected they don't like (even though Obama's hardly even more then centrist at most.) they hold all those teaparties. Honestly, fuck 'em all. I've met a fuckton of consies the last eleven years and I can honestly say I didn't like a single one of them. Even the most promising ones where things started nicely enough turned out to be colossal disappointments. And I despised the vast majority of them early on. Horrible people right-wingers. Actually you can include the libertarians (who are right-wingers anyway) in that, because save for a tiny handful of more left-libertarian types, most libertarians are horrible people too in my experience.
I hate fundies, but I REALLY loathe the right-wing. There's actually been a tiny handful of fundies whom I had to conclude really weren't so bad. But with right-wingers I've yet to say that.
