Quote# 7629

I think Monkeys having monkey babies disproves evolution. Apparently we evolved from them, so why are they still here. Until I see a monkey pop out a human, I will never believe it.

If monkeys having monkey babies disproves evolution...

Why doesn't humans having human babies also disprove it?

This comment is almost too fucking stupid to contemplate. Just looking at it makes things inside my head make odd grinding noises.

It saddens me to think that this was written by a Kevin Smith fan. Kevin would disown this person if he knew who he was - he would arrange to have him fucked up his stupid ass (yes, I do know Kevin Smith so I can make such a comment).

Snoochies, you fucking ignorant bastard, evolutionary theory does not state that man evolved from a monkey! You might take the trouble to perform the barest minimum of research to properly define your target.

Fucking asshat, clownshoe windowshitter.

I nominate this guy for a "Learned Evolution from Pokemon" Award. I really hope this site has such an award.

snoochies, you use that "think" word, even though you're not qualified to. Apparently you have been listening to anti-teachers.

I'd like to have a word that refers to people who deliberately suck the intelligence out of children's heads. "Pastor"? "Minister"? What?

Or perhaps, poor child, you could say that you were Hovinded.

Evolution doesn't work that way.

I'm no biologist or scientist, but I'm pretty sure that if the monkey's environment changed in such a way that the monkey could no longer survive in it's current form, those monkey offspring that had some form of mutation that made them more suited to the new environment would be the ones who lived long enough to breed and so pass on that mutation.

Over several generations, the monkeys without the mutation would die out, thus the monkey evolves.

If a monkey gave birth to a human baby, the opposite would happen. The human baby is not suited to the monkey's natural environment, so the human baby would not live long enough to mate and pass on the its genes.

It seems that you need a number of things to happen; environmental change, mutations within individuals that suit the environment and time for the mutations to be passed from generation to generation.

It's not a question of a monkey just popping out a human baby.

Sorry for my long winded (and probaly unscientific)response, but I'm pretty tired of this argument.

WAY.

anti-nonsense

Because evolution does not fucking work that way!

A) We did not evolve from modern monkeys, we share a common ancestor with modern monkeys

b) evolution takes millions of years and many generations.

5 fucking minutes on a website with proper information on evolution (hint not Answers in Genesis) would have saved you from looking like a complete moron.

No that proves speciation a very important key feature of evolution.
