Quote# 76432

The USA government is suppose to be a government by the people for the people. The government is suppose to establish laws and enforce them.

If the people establish something as law, no one has a "RIGHT" to break the law....unless it's contray to the Word of God.

If homosex was outlawed, they wouldn't be using the public school systems as homosex indoctrination centers, or using hellivision to tell children how normal it is to be gay/queer/whatever. They wouldn't have a "right" to perform vile sex acts as it would be illegal.

The homosex craze is advancing as fast as it is because we let it happen....and as a nation are responsible as such.

Shawn's ancestor, circa 1960:

The USA government is suppose to be a government by the people for the people. The government is suppose to establish laws and enforce them.

If the people establish something as law, no one has a "RIGHT" to break the law....unless it's contray to the Word of God.

If race-mixing was outlawed, they wouldn't be using the public school systems as miscegenation indoctrination centers, or using hellivision to tell children how normal it is to be black/Negro/whatever. They wouldn't have a "right" to be in the same places as whites as it would be illegal.

The miscegenation craze is advancing as fast as it is because we let it happen....and as a nation are responsible as such.

"Could this Shawn be VenomfangX? I could certainly visualise him on RR..."

An interesting idea. Unfortunately, it's not the case. This Shawn's last initial is S, while VenomFangX's last initial is K.

By the people for the people? Sounds a little... communist! (I do agree with this one sentence though...)

Speaking as a nation, if I won't take responsibility for your obsessive stupidity, why would I take responsibility for that other shit? As such.

If the people establish something as law, no one has a "RIGHT" to break the law ... unless it's contra[r]y to the Word of God.

No. In a democracy, if the people establish something as law, no one has a right to break the law. Period. No "unless". Even Jesus agreed with that. If each of the 40,000 different religions were allowed to override the will of the people and ignore civil laws any time they thought it was "contrary to [their personal version of] the Word of God", the 9-11 bombers would be declared completely innocent.

If homosex[ualism] was outlawed, they wouldn't be using the public school systems as homosex[ualism] indoctrination centers, or using hellivision to tell children how normal it is to be gay/queer/whatever. They wouldn't have a "right" to perform vile sex acts as it would be illegal.

Sure. But not only isn't it illegal in the US, such a law would violate the Constitution. So what's your point? That maybe you should move to Saudi Arabia?

9/29/2010 5:17:22 PM

Dunny

Who are you to tell me what the word of god is? I'm curious, cuz I'm about as straight as they come, but, just cuz somebody else is homo, it doesn't mean they're wrong.
Premeditated murder (under most circumstances)
wrong
Child molestation wrong
Sex between two consenting adults within the privacy of their realm. I'm okay with that, so you can shut the fuck up.
Cursing: I'm cool with that shit too.

Sadly the government is controlled by politicians, special-interest groups, corporate lobbyists, and the religious right. And they do it for their own self-interests. I don't think it has ever been for the people.

So gay marriage, or even the allowing of gay people to exist isn't going to undermine or ruin anything.

9/29/2010 5:52:12 PM

Mrs. Antichrist

And the constitution exists to protect the people's INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. It's unconstitutional to vote on personal freedoms, you moron.

Except that banning "homosex" isn't going to stop people from being gay, and -- unless you're raping someone -- sex is a part of "Liberty", which the government CANNOT take away without damn good reason. "I don't like them queers" is NOT a legally valid reason.

BTW, every "vile sex act" LGBT folks engage in is ALSO DONE BY STRAIGHTS.

Additionally, in America, the "Word" of "God" has no bearing on the rule of law, nor should it, as that would violate the separation of church and state.

... crap. Already thinking like a lawyer.

"The USA government is suppose to be a government by the people for the people. The government is suppose to establish laws and enforce them."

This is mostly right except in constitutional democracies where laws may not go contrary to the constitution which is specifically designed to protect all people, and especially minorities from the whims of the majority.

If the people establish something as law, no one has a "RIGHT" to break the law....unless it's contray to the Word of God. "

No one has the right to break any law, end of discussion.

"Let me get this straight.
We turn schools into homosexual indoctrination centres, televisions into gay advocates, and make kids take up homosexuality as a craze. And you'll not only see no change, but take the responsibility?
Sweet."
SHHHHHHH!!!!
You're revealing a MAJOR part of "The Gay Agenda!" Revealing of any more info will result in your Pagan/Atheist-Humanist, Socialist, Baby-Killing, Sodomite/Sodomite Supporter's card being revoked, sir! Reveal ANYTHING after that,..... Well, let's just say 'you will be dealt with.'

Frot?

Also, where are these 'homosex indoctrination centres'? I am intrigued.

9/30/2010 1:20:42 AM

ergo

Outlaw homosexuality?

So...imprison a group of people just cause you don't like your imagining of them having sex?

And if right-wing Fundamentalist Christianity was outlawed, they wouldn't be indoctrinating kids via places such as the 'Kids On Fire School of Ministry', run by the likes of Becky Fischer. To tell children how normal it is to be a religiously lobotomised right-wing fundie freak . They wouldn't have the right to perform vile psychological torture, as it would be illegal.

...ah yes, that's right. Said 'Kids On Fire School of Ministry' was closed down permanently, and Becky Fischer turned into a pariah, after the release of the documentary film "Jesus Camp".

The fundie craze is destroying itself, by virtue of the negative P.R. it itself generates (Ted Faggard also appeared in "Jesus Camp", prior to his expose. He & Becky are now nobodies. Go figure). And they as right-wing fundie freaks are responsible as such.

And we Atheists let it happen. Because in the grand 'Religion vs. Atheism' battle scheme of things, the fundies themselves are our own greatest ally.

No. You're not letting it happen - you're doing your best to stop it. So you're not part of "we". "We" in this case is the majority of us who don't give a rat's butt who somebody else is having sex with, and think the RR crowd is a bunch of bigoted, interfering, judgmental, hate-filled rednecks.

9/30/2010 12:01:08 PM

Papabear

Yeah, but it's for ALL the people. Even if the majority wanted to stomp gays into the dust, the government "for the people" prevents that view from becoming a a law.

Not to Godwin or anything, but since Hitler was elected to office, working from the same logic Jews and gays temporarily lost the right to exist in Germany in the '30s.

And possibly, depending on how far you carry this rule-of-law thing, Jews and Muslims in Spain, 1490's, etc.

9/30/2010 3:18:55 PM

Boy Wonder

Sigh.

Shawn, let's say that you got your way and the government passed a law effectively outlawing homosexual intercourse. The government would be effectively governing our sex-lives.

Is that really what you want? Do you really want the government THAT deeply entrenched in our personal lives? The thing is, I'm willing to bet that you're the same person who regularly decries Obama as leading some Orwellian hell-government from 1984.
