(Responding to an article about Popo Bawa, the most feared spirit-monster of the Zanzibar spice islands)

I had a demon spirit attack me in this way where I was frozen. Even my voice didn't work and I started to rebuke in the name of jesus in my concience mind since my voice wouldn't work. My voice came back quickly and I started to rebuke it aloud and the thing left quickly.

Actually that sounds like sleep paralysis, loss of muscle tone and hallucinations during the onset of, or after, sleep. COmpletely harmless.

Definitely sounds like sleep paralysis - I suffered it quite a lot until I found out what it was and learned how to deal with it. No demons involved!

This is called sleep paralysis. I suffer from it frequently myself and yes, it is very frightening. Thankfully, it is also treatable. Talk to your doctor.
