No one has to go to football games. And imposing a religion of silence is neutral? No, it's a point of view. Taxing Christians for Godless schools is neutral? No. If there were no God, what would be wrong with Christians taxing, or even eating, atheists?

Cannibalism for Jesus Award?

Doubting Thomas

These days I find it harder and harder to try to follow the thought pattern of Christians...

No one has to go to football games.

And no on has to pray or have a moment of silence, either.

Taxing Christians for Godless schools is neutral?

I had to pay taxes to support schools even when I didn't have any kids. So suck it up. Don't like the "godless" schools? Send your kid to a private Christian school.

If there were no God, what would be wrong with Christians taxing, or even eating, atheists?

Well for starters, it's unconstitutional to tax people solely on their religious views. And if you're seriously asking what's wrong with eating people, well, you need some serious professional help if you even have to ask the question, even hypothetically.

Why are Christians in this country so damn stupid?

A Jehovah's Witness once tried to question me about my religious beliefs. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. FTHPFTHPFTHPFTHPFTHPFHTP!

This does, of course, raise the question whether atheists should be served with bananas and peanut butter.

Also, I'd kick your ass.

"Taxing Christians for Godless schools is neutral? No. If there were no God, what would be wrong with Christians taxing, or even eating atheists?"

Okay, first off, they aren't taxing Christians to pay for public "Godless" schools, they're taxing EVERYBODY. That isn't persecution. Nobody is specifically targeting Christians here or taxing on a religious basis.

Secondly, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? By all means, KEEP your stupid bronze age beliefs if the only alternative is raging psychopathy! At least your insanity is less harmful as it currently stands! Then again, though, if you DID resort to cannibalism, we could lock nuts like you up, preventing you from doing other kinds of damage to people...

Look, if praying before a football game is so important to you, you and your family can pray in your car before the game starts. What's the matter? Is that not noisy and public enough for you? Or does your god really prefer to get his praise from large crowds?

Taxes are for schools. Religion should have no part in education. If parents want to indoctrinate their kids, then they should do it themselves.

If there were no God, what would be wrong with Christians taxing, or even eating, atheists?

Since atheists don't believe in God, what has been preventing them from eating Christians?

Also, if the US is truly the Christian nation so many claim it to be, then Christians have already been taxing atheists (more than the religious, or at least the religious organizations).

The fact that atheists are people and have the same human rights as Christians...

But screw it. If God does exist, the fundies claim that this means that atheists are "obstinate" and deserve to be killed if they do not convert. But if God DOESN'T exist, then the fundies claim that there are thus no morals and it is perfectly acceptable to kill and eat atheists. It appears that we are damned if we do, and damned if we don't.

I wonder if Mr. Lohr realizes just how easily his argument can be turned against him...

And imposing a religion of silence is neutral?

There are 10,000 different religions. So, yeah, "just STFU about religion" is about as neutral as it can get.

Taxing Christians for Godless schools is neutral?

Secular, the schools are secular. While that does technically make them godless I have a feeling that you are equating godless with atheist and that's false. Being neutral means that the government either doesn't support any god or they support every god (as well as the atheist perspective). The former is less of a drain on taxes and thus why it's the preferred option. But if you want schools to have gods then I'm afraid the latter is your only option lest you be a hypocrite.

Hey, dumbass, the majority of Americans, including the majority of Christian Americans, go to public schools. Private schools are too expensive for most Americans. If you want those good Christian children to have the benefit of a good education, then continue to support public schools.

If, on the other hand, you want a world with no educated professionals--no doctors, lawyers, teachers, preachers, engineers, computer programmers, archaeologists, architects, managers, nurses, lab technicians, etc. that keep the world running...

No one has to go to football games. And imposing a religion of silence is neutral?

You're right, no one has to go to football games. However, do you really think it is reasonable to limit football games to Christians (the ones served by the prayers beforehand)?

Taxing Christians for Godless schools is neutral?

Yep. Since Christians (among others) use public education, it is neutral (and reasonable) to have them pay part of the costs.

If there were no God, what would be wrong with Christians taxing, or even eating, atheists?

Since the majority of U.S. politicians consider themselves (or at least claim to be) Chrisitan, then Christians are already taxing atheists. As for the eating concept, do atheists eat Christians? I certainly don't. Unless you count my wife, but she seems to enjoy it...
