Just because someone is attracted to the same sex doesn't mean that they don't develop parental instincts as they get older. And those parental instincts cause them to want to carry on their genetic lineage. Therefore they will probably be hoping fervently that their adopted children grow up, find someone of the OPPOSITE sex, and have children.
