I used to pull a similar joke in grade school: telling some unsuspecting person "You're a Homo Sapien!" (Yes, I know it's supposed to be Homo Sapiens with an 's' but that's how I said it as a kid) and of course they'd invariably say "No I'm not!" at which point those who knew better would have a good laugh and then I'd clue the person in. AV1611VET appears not to have received that little lesson.

AV1611VET, "homo" means "same" in Greek and "human" in Latin. "Homosexual" thus means "same sex" and "homo sapiens" means "wise man." The two have nothing to do with each other.
