Seeing what America did the last few years, I think I'll just stay European, thank you very much.
DISCLAIMER: I'm very well aware that most Americans are aware of their standing in the world and that it's getting better at the moment and that a lot of you are frustrated by the way their country is run at times. I just don't like that "America, fuck yeah!" mentality...

America isn't about the cost of us belonging to the rest of the world. The rest of the world needs to understand what it means to be American, and follow our lead.
Have you forgotten that America needs places that aren't like it to exist, so as to supply cheap labour to be ruthlessly exploited in a way its own citizens haven't stood for for at least 50 years?
It also strikes me as a little odd how people like you, while loudly telling the world that America is the best place to live by far, tend to go apoplectic about anyone from those countries you look down upon subsequently trying to get into it.

You know I'm really not anti-american but the US isn't exactly the best country in the world, I wouldn't say it even comes close to many countries I'd rather live in!

On a more serious note, if any of you stateside FSTDTers get the opportunity, please thank a veteran today. Offer them a hug. Even if you're not from the U.S., try to do the same for one of your country's veterans. I know it's cliche, but freedom isn't free, guys.

You ain't leading on healthcare, mate.
If I'm sick, I just go to the doctor. I don't phone up an insurance company.
You're not leading on culture either, and you are example evidence of that.

I hadn't realized that bellowing playground challenges continued on into adulthood in America. Unless, of course, I'm mistaken and the bellowing buffoon is not an adult. But if the deranged lout is indeed an adult, is his bellicosity the result of bitterness at the failure of some kind of idealized dream that has wafted prettily through the national consciousness of America?

I'm still unable to understand why people from the US call themselves "american" as if Canada, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Brasil, Cuba, Argentina, etc weren't a part of the continent called America.
Damn yankees. They can't even get their own name right.
It is this attitude what makes other people dislike the US. Why the Hell should we obey the USA just because the OP says it? What happened to democracy, self-determination and all that stuff?

This rhetoric is sounding familiar...oh yes, it's the same sort of logic used by the British Empire to justify their conquest and subjugation of other nations. "We're obviously superior, so by forcing everyone else to join us and behave like us, we're doing them a favor!" Of course, that's not how it worked out. You know what they say about those who forget the past...

Wow. I have to admit that, for the most part, I like being an American but to take an attitude like this, which implies that we could have nothing to learn from the rest of the world. Just ... wow...

Let's not pretend you mean everyone should be American - which would still be a fucktard remark incidentally. You mean everyone should be your personal vision of an American: a white, Christian, socially conservative, intolerant and maleducated cunt.

So I take it you're in favor of all the illegal Mexican immigrants crossing the border, then? As well as making all 12 million of them American citizens immediately?
Contact you're teabagger congress critter, I'm sure he or she will get right on board with that and introduce the appropriate legislation.
