"Other cultures are not failed attempts at being yours"
Certainly Western countries (culturally, if not geographically at least): Canada: less guns, more politeness and higher IQs. Australia: less religiosity (their religion? Good beer. Good mates. Good sport. Everything else follows from that). New Zealand: better educated and aware of the indigenous population & their culture)
"and other nations are not failed attempts at being the USA."
We Brits, in the past, tried being like the USA today. Two Words: British Empire. Look what happened to us. All that's left is a Commonwealth of independent countries, but we've emerged out of the Empire era much better (with trade between said self-determining former colonies). Diplomacy, and all the benefits that brings. We Brits are like that.
We came out of it greatly humbled, but if anything Britain has become all the better for it. We know our place, certainly in regard to the rest of the world. And knowing about it. Geography. Ever hear of it, Moonbatshitheads? It's all about the world, which exists outside your own borders. Now if only the USA could start being more humble, and less arrogant and Americentric? Know their place, and where they are in the world (and it's no longer 'No.1! America, Fuck Yeah!', and all that BS). It wouldn't kill them. The UK is living proof it doesn't.
If they're not careful, they'll be the next on this list. And sooner than they imagined:
Roman Empire. Mongol Empire. Ottoman Empire. British Empire. Third Reich. USSR.
PROTIP: All great powers fall. No Exceptions. You do the maths, Moonbatshitheads.
One more thing. Eric & co. had better not watch the anime series "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion"*:

If he knows what's good for him.
*- Especially the scenario it's set in. Many have compared the Holy Britannian Empire, and it's ruler Emperor Charles zi Britannia, to the USA & George Dumbya Bush, and it's invasion of Iraq for it's oil; in the anime, invading Japan, renaming it 'Area 11', for the fictional & ultra-powerful mineral energy source 'Sakuradite'

(emphasis added):
"Fuck... talking to you people about politics is like talking to creationists, living in your own pinko American dream bubble."
Ah, the arrogance and geographical illiteracy of those who are Americentric. It knows no bounds.
20% of Americans believe the sun orbits the Earth. 40% of American kids can name all 150 Pokemon, but can't name 15 countries and their capital cities.
And 7% of all Americans can't point out the USA on a world map.
As many here in FSTDT have pointed out to fundies, that there are Christians who are commenters here, there are those commenters in FSTDT who live beyond the borders of the USA. Such as yours truly.
Equally, we who live beyond the US's borders know about the USA. Having lessons in history class at school. Reading books. Watching documentaries on TV. Travelling to other countries, including the USA (Fact: only 10% of US citizens possess a passport). And having news providers who report on events outside their home country, will do that to you.
BBC News (TV, radio & online). Reuters. Fox News. One of these things is not like the other. Which is it?
