@Mudak: Sort of, but backwards. Traditionally, humans are classified into three super-races: Caucasoid, Negroid, and Mongoloid. Down (forget his first name) described a number of mental retardation syndromes, including one that he referred to as Mongoloid idiocy (the term "idiocy" being a technical term at the time), because it was accompanied by certain facial features similar to those of East Asians, even in those of non-East Asian descent.

@Lordy: Mongoloid, Caucasoid, Negroid - somewhat outdated terms, but nothing inherently pejorative about them. The misuse of the term "mongoloid" to refer to someone with "mongoloid idiocy" (Down Syndrome) derives from the use of "mongoloid" as a racial term, not the other way around.

Ah, the old "superevolution" argument. I wonder if Mr. Mortenson would still say that Homo erectus and Neanderthals are descended from Noah if he knew that they were not as intelligent as modern humans. (There is no meaningful difference between Cro-Magnons and modern humans, so why are they listed, I wonder?) And nice subtle racism there, using outdated terms to refer to blacks and Asians, but not whites.

Totally offensive. These terms are outdated and shot through with racism. Also, this is not biblically accurate. The different races and cultures didn't spring up right after Noah's flood. In fact, this didn't happen until the Tower of Babel, when God scattered the nations and gave them different languages.
