Actually there were several studies done in at least 1950 demonstrating a link between cigarettes and lung cancer. For example:

A 9 year old can make adult choices now? A 9 year old can read scientific journals about cigarettes being carcinogens? That they gave her a free pack to get her hooked shows that it was a liability.

Determined in court that they did, in fact, hand out free packs to children. WMDKitty, please get the facts straight before you run your mouth.
