Quote# 78364

Suddenly, just as the Obama-led campaign to foist the radical homosexual agenda on the U.S. armed forces is reaching its denouement, the American people are getting a taste of forced intimacy - and they don't like it. In airports around the country, they are being subjected to intrusions on their personal space by people and machines of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Team Obama's line is that "most" in uniform think there will be no problem, or at least "mixed" good and bad repercussions. But if even an estimated 10 percent choose to leave the service - let alone 40 percent of Marines, who, according to the leakers, think repeal will cause problems - the effect will be traumatic, possibly devastating, for the U.S. armed forces. If tens of thousands choose not to submit and "vote with their feet," as the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen, has called on them to do, it may become impossible to rely only on volunteers to staff our military.

In that case, a vote for repeal of the 1993 law barring homosexuals from the military amounts to a vote for reinstating the draft.

DADT being repealed is exactly like the TSA! And fluffy unicorns can run as fast as my toaster when provoked!

DADT does not ban homosexuals from serving, only making reference to their homosexuality. Gay service members will not be forcing intimacy on anyone any more than heterosexuals, and likely much less. there is much more heterosexual assault than there ever has been homosexual assault.

"In that case, a vote for repeal of the 1993 law barring homosexuals from the military amounts to a vote for reinstating the draft."

They will keep running this scare tactic for all its worth.. and then they will beat the fuck out of that dead horse non-stop just like they do with all of their other failed arguments. To them, if an argument doesnt work, then keep using it until it gets ingrained into peoples minds until it is unquestioned... which is what they wanted in the first place...no questions.

I can certainly understand why conservatives hate this. If the draft were to be reinstated, they would be at risk of military service, and we all know conservatives prefer to let others serve. Just run through the list of cons who have never served...

And I love how you hate the airport searches etc, yet you were fine with it while that fuckstick bush was "running things."

"In airports around the country, they are being subjected to intrusions on their personal space by people and machines of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)."

I bet when the Bush adminstration instated the TSA, you were A-OK with it, but now that Obama is president, it's all a part of the evil gay communist muslim atheist plan, right?

"(...) let alone 40 percent of Marines, who, according to the leakers, think repeal will cause problems (...)"

I'm no expert on this, but last I heard, a study BY THE MILITARY showed that for the most part, the army had no problem repealing DADT, so excuse me if I don't exactly take your word. Oh, but I forget! It's also a part of the evil gay communist muslim atheist plan, am I right?

This all started in 1947 when we started letting niggers shower with white soldiers in 1947.

And if the bigots choose to leave, GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE, and good luck trying to cash in on your military experience with that dishonorable discharge, you deserters!

DADT: Because having secretly-gay people in the military is somehow better than having openly-gay people in the military.

Anyone who leaves the military becase of this in my opinion is someone I don't want defending me. So good riddance!

Most of the military, according to a study conducted by the military itself, has no problem with people being openly gay in the military. And gay people won't be allowed to grope or sexually harass other servicemembers any more than heterosexual sexual harassment is tolerated. And from my personal experience in the military, that is zero. But if allowing gay servicemembers to be open about it means that all the bigots and homophobes will leave the military, this can only be a good thing. Most of them are the evangelical fundie Christian types who have turned the military into recruiting grounds for Jesus. Or, on the other hand, they might stay in because they feel it's their duty to "save" the evil gheys from their life of sin.

Oh and DADT didn't bar gays from serving, it allowed them to serve as long as they hid their sexuality. Previous to 1993 gays weren't allowed in at all, though some of them obviously did.

We're about to see a traumatic failure to re-up soon anyway, thanks to not passing the DREAM act.

Re-instating the draft would follow shortly behind, if, indeed, "40 percent" of the military walked out because of the repeal of DADT.
Of course, draftees would mean that not just the poor and unemployed would fill the ranks of the military, but the sons and daughters of all.
That would have given Chimpy McCokespoon pause when launching wars of agression, ie Iraq. Bring on the motherfuckin' draft!

It's estimated that actual unemployment in America is running at 20%. I doubt the US army will have any trouble getting recruits.

Gays aren't banned from serving, they're just not allowed to be open about their homosexuality. All that repealling DADT will do is let them be open about it.

"In that case, a vote for repeal of the 1993 law barring homosexuals from the military amounts to a vote for reinstating the draft"

Can you say logical disconnect?

I wish the armed forces would shrink, seeing as the US military spending currently dwarfs that of ALL the other countries' militaries put together.

Homosexuals have been serving in our military for a lot longer than you realize.

But if even an estimated 10 percent choose to leave the service - let alone 40 percent of Marines, who, according to the leakers, think repeal will cause problems ...

And the number who will actually leave? Closer to 0%. When the US military began mixing blacks and whites in WW2, a bunch of career-military white guys said the same thing: "I'm getting out as soon as I can." And you know what? They didn't. They were just whiners who thought they could derail things with their threats and whining. Besides, gays have worked openly in private industry for decades, so what good would leaving the military for private industry do?

12/30/2010 8:32:37 AM

Here's the rub. If there ever was a draft, you can be sure these guys would oppose it because people might have to serve with homosexuals.

In that case, a vote for repeal of the 1993 law barring homosexuals from the military amounts to a vote for reinstating the draft.

Nice well-lubricated slippery slope you have there. I'm not sure what your logic is. Mind you, as soon as the USA stops fucking around in countries they have no business being in you can reduce the size (and expense) of your military.
Or is that too logical for you?

First they didn't liked the idea of equality for women and lost, until the '60 they legally hunted and hated and didn't want equality for african-americans (and they still hate them) and lost. Now they tray the same shit with homosexuals and they will lose.

Does this mean that we might get rid of the ultra-conservative Christian twats that tried to take over the Air Force?

I really can't see the downside.

Oh, and you even fail at the Slippery Slope fallacy.

Sing with me:

It's a free country,
where you can say and do as you want
As long as you don't diss the Christians or are gay
Hey, you can't say that!
Freedom of Speech is awesome
Now shut the fuck up, we feel offended
Your words are breaking our bones

Fuckin' a, I know not a good song, but these guys just don't like Freedom, they really don't because it allows people to be themselves and not brave little bible drones willing to take a bullet for the rich and powerful.

12/30/2010 9:26:09 AM

What is the TSA non-sequiteur about? And where does the 40% of Marines leaving the service number come from?

Out of interest, why is this going to be a problem for the US armed forces when it hasn't been for all the other armed forces of the world who do allow gay personnel? I can think of two possible answers. First, there wont be any significant problems and it's all in the minds of repressed, puritan fucktards. Second, there will be a problem because the US military is staffed largely with repressed, puritan fucktards.

Which is it Mr Gaffney?
