Quote# 78632

You do not prove that Christian Identity is a legit religion, like Islam. Because, it isn't. And neither should be Islam.

They break the law, by their basic tenet of denying others' free exercise of religion. Constitutional law, no less.

S. Kessler: "Islam is as much a Constitutionally protected religion as is Christianity and Judaism."

Islam is illegal here. Christianity and Judaism are not. Islam has been granted protection under the Constitution --- ILLEGALLY.

What fucking country are you in?

Or are you just another proud graduate of the Patriot University School of Constitutional Law?

Dr. Shrinker

You have no idea what the word "illegal" means, do you?

Dude, you're breaking the law! By denying others' right to free exercise of religion!

When you fight the monsters, don't become one.

I'd hate to see what Althea thinks of some of the less widely practiced religions...

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

Let me type this recap slowly for you: NO LAW ... prohibiting the free exercise of religion.
So, under our Constitution -- you know that document your ilk claim to revere but know fuck-all about -- it would be illegal to make Islam illegal.
Also, fuck you. With a cactus. With no lube. Sideways. M'kay?
The fact that people like you are allowed to drive, vote and -- yikes! -- reproduce is proof, as far as I'm concerned, that there is no intelligent being out there.
For the record, I think Islam is as much of a delusion as all other religions.

The Constitution prevents the goverment from censuring a religion, not the citizenry. Please, just stop.

Until you can show where in the U.S. Constitution it says that Islam is prohibited, STFU.

You want to prevent people being denied free expression of religion by denying free expression of religion? Yes, I see how that would make sense in Fundieland.

The OP said that Islam is ILLEGAL! The Constitution says clearly it is not.*

... You're mom dropped you on the head a lot, didn't she? Because obviously you're about as sharp as a bowling ball.

Edit
* Or are you saying that Islam is on double-secret probation?

Allow me to paraphrase the relevant part of the first amendment for you: The US government shall keep its nose out of religious affairs. As long as you aren't breaking any real laws, you can worship a doorknob if you like. (That makes as much sense as anything else, actually. At least doorknobs do something useful.)

Basic law fail. You cannot "illegally" grant something protection under the Constitution. If a religion, such as Islam, is protected under the Constitution, then it is legally protected. Your logic is giving me a headache.

Speaking of Headache, let me preempt him and point out that the vast majority of Americans understand why the OP's logic is seriously flawed. I am an American, and I am aware of how the Constitution of my county works, and what the word illegal means. I wonder what his response to this will be?

1/8/2011 10:45:58 AM

...denying others' free exercise of religion. Constitutional law, no less.

Perhaps so, but Christianity prohibits the free exercise of speech. Witness the theocratic portions of the Ten Commandments.
