Did you ever consider that the child you just murdered might overcome that poverty and become the doctor that cures cancer and AIDS?
Honestly, though, what are the odds of that? The kid could also be the next Hitler. What would very likely end up happening, though, is that the child would end up malnourished and thus die young, or would end up turning to crime and getting put in prison. How are either of those productive?
And if they don't want to bring children into the world, then they need to stop getting pregnant.
Right, that's what contraception's for. But who always, ALWAYS puts the kibosh on that?? Who stymies attempts to provide comprehensive information on it? Who makes it exceedingly difficult for those in poverty to have access to it, and demonizes the organizations that do provide easy access to it (Planned Parenthood)? Who cuts funding to programs that would provide it to poverty-stricken people overseas?
And don't even start with that "abstinence" crap. It's completely unrealistic, especially in a marital situation where two consenting parties want to express intimacy with each other. Are you saying you'd deny them that part of their humanity simply because they don't make enough money?
The fact that the poor are even raising these issues about sex, pregnancy, and resources means that they're conscientious enough to want to take responsibility for their actions. You shouldn't be refusing to acknowledge this, as it would cut abortion rates and likely decrease the number of people who need to get on welfare.
