I don't recall mention of any fossils in the babble...
Unless it is in reference to certain 'elders'!

"There is nothing in the Bible that indicates in any way that the world is older than 6,000 years old."
And that's why, to learn about the Earth and all that's in it, we do not look to the bible.
We look at the Earth and all that's in it.

"God didn't call His creation just good. He called it very good. A world with sickness, disease, cancer and violence is not good."
So, a world with sickness, disease, cancer and violence is not good. It's very good..
WTF?

Anyway - who was around in Eden to record the lifespans of those expelled from Eden?
How do we know what god actually said to Adam? Was there some sort of Eden based court reporter?

It's not only fossils. It's a lot more extremely strong evidence that the earth is much older than 6000 years:

There is only one valid conclusion: That this collection of fictional stories from the bronze-age, widely known as "The Bible", is NOT the infallible truth.

There is nothing to indicate the genealogies are incomplete.
That's funny, I always hear that some people were left out of the genealogies whenever someone mentions that several of the genealogies in the bible conflict with each other.

Hmmm... A logically sound arguement, sadly built upon fatally flawed premises.
I have to reject your arguement since you have yet to prove that there is such a god and that it indeed created teh world as per the genesis account, and indeed you would have to also explain why all available evidence is as we would expect it to be if there were in fact no intelligent agency behind it at all.

Is there anything wrong with figuring out the age of the earth this way? No. There is nothing to indicate the genealogies are incomplete. There is nothing to indicate God left anything out. There is nothing in the Bible that indicates in any way that the world is older than 6,000 years old.
Because we know that the earth is older than the bible states => The bible is complete and utter bullshit. There you have it. QED

What AIF said. This argument is perfectly logical. In fact, this is a good example how madness works - a perfectly logical interpretation of the world, built on wrong assumptions.

Who is the "we" examining the fossils?
Certainly not you.
And I don't think the geneology is complete from Adam to Jesus.
Lastly, it was Joseph that has some geneology back to David not Jesus, who as you claim was conceived without a man.

This is why when we do science, we start with looking at the evidence and come to a conclusion. When you do hokey religiobabble you start with a conclusion and ignore any evidence to the contrary. Until you understand why the differences between those two approaches are vitally, nay fundamentally important, there is no hope for you or your Mission.

"There is nothing in the Bible that indicates in any way that the world is older than 6,000 years old."
Conversely, there's nothing to indicate it isn't older than 6,000 years. The Bible says nothing about the age of the Earth, at all.
If you read the fucking thing, you'd know this.

Of course, if the Bible is wrong, then none of your post is valid. Thus, you cannot and will not convince anyone, because your argument is completely invalid and unsound, and absolutely dependent on circular reasoning and rejection of science to function.
Also, fuck you, missionaries. You are responsible for all or nearly all of the current problems in Third World countries. After decolonization, Africa was actually doing okay for itself, and developing its economy and all that. Then, the missionaries came. Twenty years later, and AIDS ravages the place while the population is almost universally fundie, making them too stupid to solve their problems by themselves, and driving the already-pitiful education standards of those lands down into the ground. Uganda and Somalia are the Most Triumphant Examples of this lawlessness. There is a reason why every Third World country except the ones in Africa are improving themselves. Care to guess what it is?
We, the citizens of the United States, will not allow you Dominionists to transform us into a Third-World country. Go back to the Dark Ages whence you came, stupidity-worshipper.
