As a young man I worked at a state hospital for the mentally ill where about 40% of the population was there, do to abnormal sexual traits which defy nature. This included gay and homosexual men. It is obvious to me, in a military invironme...nt and particularly where individuals lives are at risk, it should not be incombered by these types of individuals. If I were the final authority in such matters, I would rule, not only should these types be prevented from serving in the military, they should once again be incarcerated untill such time as they show clear signs of mental repair.

You would first need to show that they do not show signs of clear mental capacity. Can you demonstrate such for yourself?

And before that we used to put Japanese-Americans inside internment camps, and before that we classified black people as 3/5 of a person, and before that we had witch trials. Just because things were done differently back in the "good ol' days" doesn't mean that they were right in fact, as science marches on we tend to gain a better insight into the way the world works and right now no credible psychologist would EVER declare homosexuality to be a mental disorder any more than a credible physician would prescribe an exorcism or leeches.

But fundamentalism is patently a manifestation of hysteria... This is a mental/metal illness. So, can we advance from here? There certainly won't be enough hospitals, so camps might have to be set up instead. And if the fundies cannot be mentally repaired, then perhaps as a final solution we would have to send them to the refinery to be trashed and save the useful parts to be re-used in other models where replacement parts will give a longer lease of life? .../ Some Swiftian Sarcasm.

Ah yes. The nature defying traits that can be commonly observed in nature. Tell me, how does their preference for after-hours socializing affect ability to follow orders, observe their surrounding, perform tactical analysis, or stay cool under pressure?

It's not them endangering the squad, it's the guys like you who can't get over themselves and demand that the scary thing get away from you so you can stop screaming like a little girl that accidentally locked herself in a closet during a blackout. That scary thing typically turns out to be a coat, and usually the one you like.

Claiming that homosexuals somehow can't make an important decision for shit because they'll be distracted by fashionable shoes and their squadmates pectorals sounds suspiciously like the old argument for keeping women out of the military. Is your opinion of yourself really so high that you can't help but imagine that every single gay man will find you an irresistible sex god?

With such irrational fears and narcissistic delusions perhaps you're the one in need of a padded cell and a clean white coat until mental repair can be established.

You do know that 30% of "allegedly straight soldiers" who go to war come back with some form of mental illness. PTSD used to be classed as a mental illness before people pointed out that its what a normal person would do in that situation.

Don't ask don't tell often meant other soldiers would know someone was gay (hey on that night out why were you not interested in making out with women?) and often you just would not give a crap and cover up for them from superior officers who also would not give a flying rat's arse until someone made a big issue about "teh gayz".

Most gays need help because of idiotic straight people who ensure they go into mental health programs.
