I myself live in Christchurch and was in the centre of the city for the earthquake and saw much devastation. I am an atheist and I found it quite funny how most of the atheists' houses I know were not heavily damaged but of the christians I know, several had their houses completely destroyed. It's interesting to see how they keep
even when there is such a blatant affront to their delusions such as this.

Wow! Looking up was probably the last thing several people did before they were crushed by bricks falling off a building :(
And something slightly less crazy, in the memorial service, the bishop of the Christ Church* Cathedral said something along the lines of "God did not cause this earthquake, but we can thank him for the miracles on that tragic day, like no one dying in the Christ Church Cathedral"
I watched the whole memorial service, and it was way too religious. I was secretly hoping a decent aftershock would interrupt one of the prayers!
*The space in the middle of Christ Church is supposed to be there.
