Under Affirmative Action in 2012 50% of all CEOs will manditorily have to be women, no merit is required, only gender. These men will be fired. I have felt first hand the quota system when applying for employment as a maintenance manager. The fellow doing the interview leaned in close like it was a conspiracy and said, "you're perfect for the job but I NEED a woman to fill the position." I have NO rights to equal opportunity employment. I didn't fill the quota.

Although he exaggarates, he lists one of the reasons why strict quotas are unconstitutional.

I remember a guy who was denied a job as a policeman in favour of a gender quota... in a region that suffered a shortage of candidates and where only truly unqualified people would be refused. So either he made it all up, or he really sucked.

Just like our OP friend. If management had really wanted a woman at all costs, they wouldn't have called him for an interview and then said "sorry, bitch stole your place lol!" If they kept his résumé it means that they thought they might hire him. So it would appear that this brave victim of feminism is... oh noes... lying!

There is no such thing as quotas. When you actually do hear an employer say something like that, what they really mean is "While I like your credentials I don't want to pay you, while I can hire someone else that will work for less than half of what your asking for. I want someone I can push around and have something I can extort them with. But I'll tell you it's affirmative action so you will get angry at (brown people/women/ etc...) and continue to vote for corporate tools and not be mad at me."

I feel bad for the blog's owner. He seems like a pretty nice guy, but most of the comments are absolute garbage. Though it may just be that misogynists and hypocritical "feminists" constitute the vocal minority that engages in flame wars.

maintenance manager is not neccessarily janitor... it is often the title of the guy responsible for machine/equipment maintenance in any number of non-janitorial industries. like a millwright manager

i mean not to give the guy too much credit because he sounds like an asshole but yeah
