Take one thing you do not like. Claim that it is is caused by/causes another thing you do not like.
Voila! Instant argument! No proof for causation required!

What a load of horse shit! One has nothing to do with the other. Evolution is a scientific fact bolstered by mountains of evidence. Acceptance of gays has to do with treating people equally regardless of who they choose to sleep with.
If schools in the USA have to include sensitivity training towards LGBT people it is because of intolerant sanctimonious assholes like you who claim to love everyone, as Christ did, but in reality only love those who think like you.
4/26/2011 10:10:53 AM
I doubt that schools will be pushing gayness except to the extent that they will teach children that they shouldn't beat up people that are different from them. M'kay?
4/26/2011 10:21:55 AM
Yawn, yet another smear. Glenn beck would be proud.

Allegory for Jesus
"Those pushing it understand that nothing will more thoroughly and quickly undermine the traditional biblical foundations of our country than the normalization of homosexuality among our nation’s school children"
Yeah, because hating gays is the foundation of Christianity. These people mock themselves more than we ever and they don't even realize it.
4/26/2011 11:03:04 AM
The foundations of this country were Humanistic, not Judeo-Christian or biblical, otherwise we'd be living in a feudal hellhole. Read a real history book for once.
4/26/2011 11:45:38 AM
What subjects are covered in the LGBT curriculum?
4/26/2011 11:59:14 AM
I frequently wonder why people who pride themselve on their morality feel the need to lie so much and so often.
4/26/2011 12:25:14 PM
So where is the bad news?
4/26/2011 1:03:34 PM
No. I won't. Equal rights + justice for all.
4/26/2011 1:44:21 PM
"the traditional biblical foundations of our country"
You do realize that yoru founding fathers were a wide range of religions, none evangelist. anything from moderate church going christian, to thiesm (like me), to agnosticism.
and I wouldn't doubt some were athiest.
The true foundation was liberty. even if it took a while for many groups to get it.

I mean really, where is the connection here?

Raised by Horses, is that directed at the post or the comments? Because it works for both. Seriously guys, "where do I get my gay agenda" jokes? What is this, 2005?
4/26/2011 3:43:40 PM
Focusing on children constantly for little to no reason? Check
'Gay Agenda' mention? Check
"traditional biblical foundations of our country" Check!
Yep, this is exactly like the last 50 quotes about the same topics, you win!

Those pushing it understand that nothing will more thoroughly and quickly undermine the traditional biblical foundations of our country than the normalization of homosexuality among our nation’s school children, regardless of their parents’ beliefs.
Most Christian sects accept evolution. In the US, it's lunatic-fringe Baptists and their various offshoots who are trying to push their beliefs on children in public schools regardless of the parents' beliefs.
4/26/2011 4:54:53 PM
You know, you can't be taught to be gay.
4/26/2011 5:08:24 PM
While natural scientists are busy searching for the Grand Unified Theory, it seems the Creationists are looking for their own Grand Unified Theory of Evil:
Evolution = Homosexuality = Anarchy = Child Molestation = Rapture = Obama = End of Times = Antichrist = Atheism = Abortion = Communism = Islam = Liberalism = Public Schools = Government = et cetera ad absurdum
They're mixing everything they can find all in together, fabricating cross references amongst any and everything they consider un-christian.
What next? Does the Theory of Relativity make men gay?

Raised by Horses
Well, it was aimed at the main post, but I guess it kinda cuts both ways.
Still, it seems like lately every other post in FSTDT has to do with Christian Fundies being deathly afraid of getting 'turned gay'. It's like they have nothing else on their minds whatsoever..

Fundies Make Me Sick
"In America, the adoption of evolution in our schools has paved the way for the introduction of the gay agenda" - First of all, there is no gay agenda, and second, evolution does not undermine the Bible unless you take the creation story literally and anyone who does that is insane.
"Those pushing it understand that nothing will more thoroughly and quickly undermine the traditional biblical foundations of our country than the normalization of homosexuality among our nation’s school children, regardless of their parents’ beliefs"
1. This is not a Christian Nation.
2. Homosexuality is found in nature so it is "normal" from an evolutionary standpoint.
3. Schools are not teaching that homosexuality is better than heterosexuality, only that the orientation exists and is nothing to be ashamed of, if they're teaching anything about it at all.
"Currently, under the banner of “tolerance” or “equal rights,” states like Massachusetts, New York, California, Wisconsin and Minnesota are actively implementing a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) curriculum in their public schools"
If by that you mean Gay History, then you are correct but they will still teach the core subjects and electives so it's not a LGBT curriculum.
In short, Gays Bisexuals and Transgender people are being recognized. You can't stop it. Get over it.

Sounds a little like desperation to me.
By the way, isn't "Creation Studies" an oxymoron with accent on the "MORON."
4/26/2011 7:45:07 PM
Evolution and gay marriage. Two things that are completely unrelated. But because fundies are fucking stupid and can't grasp two different ideas at the same time, they are fused into some megalithic conspiracy to teach kids evolution so they can turn gay.
4/26/2011 8:45:25 PM
WTF is this mania with trying to link evolution and the so-called gay agenda anyway? Or is it just that these idiots lump everything they detest into one great big pot?
And WTF is the Creation Studies Institute? Is it next door to the Unicorn Breeding Unit?
