So according to his logic, wouldn't the best time be (if he was killed several years ago) prior to the 2008 election so the Republican administration of George Bush could take credit and secure the 2008 election for John McCain?
Their retarded logic just simply doesn't make sense.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You're talking crap and you know it: that "years old fake picture" hasn't been presented as evidence at all, it was an internet hoax to begin with.

The only reason I voted this down was because there were already pre-existing conspiracy theories that bin Laden was dead and that that was covered up. It's only natural that they'd change it a bit now that he's actually gone. This is still a load of crap that makes no sense.

Oh yes they were saving Bin Laden's body for the "most politically expedient time". Junior was just kind enough to hang on to it for the final six and a half years of his presidency only to pass it on to Obama as a sort of good luck token. Even if what they say is true and we have a sham democracy and they're all in on it and blah blah I'd imagine there were much more opportune times to break the news than last week, namely the many times when Bush's approval ratings were plummeting and/or when the economy bottomed out and/or when he was catching hell for the Katrina response and/or countless other situations.
In the real world, this all just sounds really stupid because it fails very basic logical tests. To Alex Jones and his listeners (especially those that don't take into account that Pieczenik has been out of politics for years and is presently an author) it sounds completely plausible.
Also it should be noted that Steve R. Pieczenik's Wikipedia article is up for deletion because it reads like an advertisement and is poorly sourced. Obviously it's the NWO. Oh, and he's a birther too.

I think you give the government far too much credit where competence is concerned.
Apparently that's comforting to some people, in a weird way, to think that things like 9/11 happened because of an ultra-clandestine world-controlling government rather than one that was simply asleep at the wheel.

I don't get it. If he had been dead since circa 2001 why wasn't his corpse unveiled to secure Bush's second term in 2004? Or in 2008 to increase McCain's credibility?
They forgot the whole deal didn't they? One day Obama's looking for beer in the white house basement and finds Bin Laden stuffed in the fridge with a sign "For re-election use only"

So, you know a guy who worked for Bin Laden but the CIA and the FBI didn't have a clue of his existence. And the time to be announced was not when MacCaine was bidding for presidency, no sir. NOW!!!

No, the "dead" Bin Laden was a body double. I saw the real Osama with Elvis buying jeans at Old Navy.

...an ultra-clandestine world-controlling government rather than one that was simply asleep at the wheel.
@Raised by Horses, the people you mention have such overwhelming paranoia that to even consider that the world is a hopelessly chaotic mess is simply unthinkable; they would prefer to have their sworn enemies in control than nobody at all.

That actually makes a lot of sense. In their worldview they at least know the name of their enemies, which gives them the power to watch and formulate. In a world where there isn't a conspiracy, and where their enemies are nameless and numberless, they can't even really do that reliably.

Oh, right. So, the GOP knock themselves out fixing voting machines, caging elections and so forth because they're so desperate to hold onto power, but rather than trot out bin Laden's body as a trophy to get themselves re-elected, they hand it off to Obama for his benefit? Puhleease.

You don't just send in a bunch of Navy Seals into a private home, crash a helicopter in their garden, and run around inside the house shooting loads of people dead, just for EFFECT!

Paul Watson? O rly?
I doubt this guy even knows who Paul Watson actually is.
Not that Mr. Watson *isn't* an extremist in his own way ... I just don't think he gives much of a crap about US politics (outside of anything but the environment, anyways).
I myself prefer Dr. Patrick Moore.

So, a former Bin Laden associate talks to you, Mr Average Joe, and the FBI and the CIA don't have a clue about that. What a wonderful world.

So, according to this hypothesis, GW Bush decided that he would look better if he deliberately chose to look incompetent in the manhunt for Bin Laden.
