Classical Greek society, while far from perfect, didn't decay or collapse by it's own merit. It was militarily conquered by the Romans whose tendency to act entitled to anything they could take by force got the whole world railed against them as their ruling class became far more concerned with their privileges than their responsibilities and fell into a cesspit of juvenile lording and excess. History makes you sound somewhat moronic.
I assume you're refering to Nazi Germany, where the homosexuals were arrested and either deported or shot contrary to Glenn Beck's mad raving that Hitler had a private army of hard gays. His 'evidence' amounts to the master race propoganda spread at the time showing physically gifted and attractive men with chiseled abs that would seem to invoke homosexual desire in him. Revisionist history doesn't make you sound any less moronic.
There were other societies throughout history that didn't have such a stick up their ass about people who take a dick up their ass but they were quickly slaughtered or converted by those spreading Christian moral values. All records of the past written from the losing side of the fight were replaced with those from the victors and are only remembered as the 'savage' lands that colonists 'civilized' bravely.

I tend to think of myself as a tolerant person. I try not to pass judgment on people, even when they say incredibly stupid things. After all, their ignorance might not be their fault. Who knows, right?
This is different. People like Pete are examples of the malicious stupid. They're dumb as a Goddamn brick, are willfully ignorant of history and proud of it, are loudmouthed know-it-alls who spew their malformed opinions to anyone who will listen (and plenty who won't), and they generally promote an atmosphere of reactionary stupidity which always seems perilously close to tipping into violence.
The thinking people of America, nay, the fucking planet earth, owe these people no tolerance or friendliness. They should never be denied their freedom of speech or assembly, as such an act would be an example of the utmost hypocrisy, but their opinion should not be respected by any thinking individual.

Hey guys! Apparently the U.S. was homosexually driven until 1913, when women got the right to vote! And apparently homosexuals are telling women they have no right to terminate a pregnancy they are unable to carry to term. And it's clearly the evil homosexuals expounding on the fact that the women of the world should know their place, take off those pants, get back into the kitchen, or better yet, get into the bedroom so you can be a good brood mare for the man of the house. Wow. This is stupid. The Greeks were the only civilization in that list that truly accepted homosexuality (I am assuming the OP is referring to Nazi Germany and not modern Germany.) and it fell, not because of homosexuals, but because it was conquered by the Romans. The Romans didn't care about "teh ghey" at all... that didn't stop them from becoming a very successful society that did not collapse completely until after it had rejected tolerance. Similarly, Nazi Germany persecuted gays along with others it perceived as undesirable. That intolerance did not work out well for the Nazis... are you seeing a pattern here?

The Greeks and Romans fell for a variety of complex reasons, none of which involved men doing boys up the butt. Hell, Rome abandoned teh ghey waaaaaay before both the Western and Eastern empires collapsed.
